Parents not home, 5 year old girl molested by old man

Taking advantage of the girl's parents' absence, the old man came over to visit and sexually harassed the girl. His lewd behavior was discovered by the girl's father.

On the evening of October 15, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Chairman of Vinh Hien Commune People's Committee (Phu Loc District, Thua Thien - Hue Province), confirmed that the authorities are currently investigating the indecent act of an old man against a 5-year-old girl.

Accordingly, on the morning of October 15, while the parents of Minh Nu (5 years old) were away, Mr. Nguyen Van Sinh (66 years old, living in the same commune) went to the girl's house and sexually harassed her.

Mr. Sinh's behavior was discovered by the girl's father when he returned home from work. The family reported the incident to the authorities. Mr. Sinh was invited to the commune police station for questioning.

Mr. Le Van Du, Chief of Vinh Hien Commune Police, said, “Mr. Sinh has been released to go home. The commune police are waiting for instructions from superiors to decide how to handle the situation because the incident is not too serious.”

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Dang Dien, Deputy Chief of Phu Loc District Police, said the district police have not received any information related to the above incident.
