Questioning two Ministers at the 9th Session of the National Assembly Standing Committee
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha will answer questions at the first question-and-answer session of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee.
The 9th session opened on March 10 (taking place over 8 days in two sessions) and devoted 1 working day to organizing questions from National Assembly deputies. The Secretary General of the National Assembly compiled the questions from National Assembly deputies, and the National Assembly Standing Committee decided to organize questions on 2 groups of issues.
The first group of issues is in the field of industry and trade. The questions focus on the production, import, and supply of petroleum; and the management of petroleum prices in recent times.
In addition, it is necessary to implement resolutions and conclusions on questions from the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee related to market management, prevention and control of smuggling, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, and goods of unknown origin. Solutions to ensure the circulation, export and import of goods in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially agricultural products.

The responsibility to answer is Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien. Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, Ministers of Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development, Transport, Health, Public Security, and National Defense also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.
The second group of issues is in the field of natural resources and environment. The content of the questioning focuses on the implementation of the National Assembly's resolution on questioning and thematic supervision related to urban planning, management and land use.
Responsibility and solutions to prevent the situation of taking advantage of bidding in land auctions at prices far exceeding market value to push up land prices in neighboring areas for personal gain; the implementation of land purchase and sale contracts, transfers, promises to buy, promises to sell in the past and the settlement of complaints and denunciations related to this field.
Control of waste discharge activities of factories; treatment of industrial waste. Collection, transportation and treatment of domestic solid waste; waste related to COVID-19 prevention and control; wastewater and domestic waste pollution and solutions for investment in construction of treatment plants in localities.

The responsibility to answer is the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha. Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, Ministers of Finance, Planning and Investment, Health, Justice, Science and Technology, Construction, Public Security; and the Government Inspector General also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.
The question and answer session is scheduled to take place on March 16, held at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House and broadcast live to 63 National Assembly delegations in provinces and centrally run cities.
Questioning and answering questions are conducted in groups of issues; the person answering the question does not present a report, but can speak on the issue of questioning for no more than 5 minutes before the National Assembly representative begins questioning. Each turn, 3 to 5 representatives ask questions, each representative asks questions for no more than 1 minute; the person being questioned answers for no more than 3 minutes/question content.
During the questioning process, National Assembly deputies have the right to debate with the person answering the question to clarify issues that have been answered but are not satisfactory; the debate time shall not exceed 2 minutes.
At the end of the questioning session, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued a resolution as a basis for implementation.
