Europe urges UK to clarify stance on Brexit
European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker urged Britain to quickly “clarify its position” on Brexit.
Mr Juncker (right) warmly greeted UKIP leader Nigel Farage, a key figure in the Brexit camp. |
Despite telling the European Parliament that Britain remains our friend, he said Britain needed to clarify its position to avoid further uncertainty. “We need to clarify the situation as quickly as possible... I still feel sad because I am not a robot, a grey-haired bureaucrat... I am a European and I still have the right to say that I regret the result of the vote.”
On June 28, British Prime Minister David Cameron will meet with European Union leaders for the first time since Britain voted to leave. Mr. Cameron has announced that he will resign and let his successor negotiate Britain's exit from the European Union (EU).
