Big fire burned down 3 adjacent houses
Because the house was locked from the outside, the fire spread to many houses next door. 3 adjacent houses were burned down, and 4 adjacent shops were also burned.
At around 8:00 p.m. on February 13, a large fire burned down three adjacent houses at the intersection of Le Hong Phong and Ngo Quyen streets in Quyet Thang ward, Kon Tum city, Kon Tum province. This is a busy commercial area, located next to Kon Tum commercial center.

Locals said the fire broke out at My Dung electronics store at 309 Le Hong Phong Street. Because the door was locked from the outside, the fire spread to many neighboring houses. In addition to the two houses of My Dung electronics store and a neighboring house that were burned down, four neighboring shops were also burned. The fire was so high that it covered a large area including Vin Mart supermarket and the indoor market in the commercial center.
Thousands of Tet goods and household items worth billions of dong were burned. Many other families and shops in the surrounding area were evacuated and moved their goods out, fearing the fire would spread.
Immediately after the incident, the Kon Tum Provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police dispatched 12 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to participate in the fire fighting.

The fire was brought under control and extinguished in the early morning of February 14. Authorities mobilized forces to help people clean up, maintain order and security, and look after people's belongings. Currently, people are working hard to clean up the scene and try to salvage household items.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
