The program consists of 2 parts: Part 1 is called “The Village Picture” with the main content: Each of us has a place called hometown, that place is always engraved in the heart. In the hustle and bustle of life, just remembering the dawn scene in the village, people feel peaceful and warm.
In part 1, the songs written and arranged by the composers convey the message that Nghe An is not only beautiful with its green mountains and blue waters, with its hard-working people, but also preserves long-standing customs and traditions, creating a unique cultural identity that cannot be confused with many other regions. With that meaning, the performances include:“Dawn in the countryside”, “Remembering the sound of buffalo bells”, “Old river wharf”, “Taste of the countryside”has realistically depicted the peaceful, warm and humane picture of Nghe An countryside.
Impressive picture of peaceful countryside

In part 1, the most impressive song for viewers was “Remembering the sound of buffalo clappers” by musician Phan Thanh Chuong. The music of this song was developed from the material of the “giam” style with a cheerful, witty, and liberal rhythm. In the song, the composer used the sound of buffalo clappers in the accompaniment, creating a simple and familiar sound.
Musician Phan Thanh Chuong said: The sound of the buffalo gong evokes memories of childhood, the clanging and clanging sounds echoing from the vast fields of ripe rice, into the familiar village road shaded by green bamboo, or echoing on the hillsides when the sun sets. The clanging and clanging sounds of the buffalo gong are very simple but extremely familiar, deeply imprinted in the minds of children born and raised in the countryside.
From that meaning, I wrote "Remember the sound of the buffalo bell"full of Nghe An countryside". This song is like the highlight of part 1, it makes the audience excited because they can immerse themselves in the joyful rhythms and childhood memories of the people of Nghe An. In particular, with creative staging and vivid scenery, the performanceRemember the sound of the buffalo bellreally won the hearts of the audience.

Part 2, titled “Vi, Giam flies far away”, conveys the content: Through many changes in history and life, Kinh people went to the mountains to reclaim land, settle down, and live among ethnic minorities. Many Vi, Giam folk song clubs were established, Mong, Thai, Tho, Kho Mu, and O Du people all know how to sing Vi, Giam folk songs. Many songs performed in part 2 have conveyed the message that Vi, Giam flies far away, remaining in the work and life of people in all regions of the country.

The music in this song is a musical blend of Vi, Giam and folk songs and dances of the Thai people in Nghe An. According to musician Quoc Chung, “Han Khuong” is one of the traditional festivals of the Thai people that has existed for a long time, a playground for “young men and women” to happily sing and exchange songs.Limitis a performance that combines and blends the two cultural identities of the Kinh and Thai people, creating a unique feature.Limitreceived endless applause because of the surprise between the Thai girl and the Vi and Giam boy.

The second act that makes the show attractive is "Village festival", the performance uses folk song suites Vi, Giam (both original and modified melodies) newly composed to suit the rhythm, joyful and bustling atmosphere of the festival. In the life as well as in the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people (in general), the Nghe people (in particular), the village festival has a very important role, being the place to preserve and pass on traditional cultural values of labor to generations of children for many generations.
The village festival is a place where young men and women meet, where love blossoms and bears fruit. And “Village festival"showed the excitement and joy of the Nghe people. The music and staging of this performance showed the great investment of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center.
People's Artist Tien Dung, the scriptwriter and director of the program, said: The program has selected many cohesive performances that are both suitable for the folk spirit and convey the modern rhythm of life today. In addition, the appropriate scenes, the joyful and bustling melodies; the harmonious interweaving of old and new content have created a sharp and attractive whole. Performances such as"Hometown"or "Remember the sound of the buffalo gong", "Han Khuong"We see the picture of the countryside, see the spirit of the ancient Nghe people but also encounter it in today's life.
