"The source of the wallet and the song"Telling stories of everyday life, the loving voice of the working people "working day by day and night" behind the bamboo fences of the village. With original Vi and Giam melodies, modified melodies, newly composed melodies; through diverse forms of expression: Performance, love songs, singing and dancing, combining folk and developing in music and dance, the program has created a new attraction but imbued with the cultural source of Vi and Giam Nghe Tinh.

“To create the program, we established an art council, including composers with different folk music genres, arrangers and folk choreographers. The program was directed by People's Artist Tien Dung with the main criteria of folk music but must be new and attractive to viewers.”

The program consists of 2 parts: Part 1 is called "The picture of the countryside" with the main content: Each of us has a place called homeland, that place is always engraved in the heart. In the hustle and bustle of life, just remembering the dawn scene in the countryside, people's hearts feel peaceful and warm.

In part 1, the songs written and arranged by the composers convey the message that Nghe An is not only beautiful with its green mountains and blue waters, with its hard-working people, but also preserves long-standing customs and traditions, creating a unique cultural identity that cannot be confused with many other regions. With that meaning, the performances such as:“Dawn in the countryside”, “Remembering the sound of buffalo bells”, “The old river wharf”, “The taste of the countryside”has realistically depicted the peaceful, warm and humane picture of Nghe An countryside.

In part 1, the most impressive song for viewers was “Remembering the sound of buffalo clappers” by musician Phan Thanh Chuong. The music of this song was developed from the Giam material with a cheerful, witty, and liberal rhythm. In the song, the composer used the sound of buffalo clappers in the accompaniment, creating a simple and familiar sound.

Musician Phan Thanh Chuong said: The sound of buffalo bells evokes memories of childhood, the clanging and clanging sounds echoing from the vast fields of ripe rice, into the familiar village roads shaded by green bamboo, or echoing on the hillsides when the sun sets. The clanging and clanging sounds of buffalo bells are very simple but extremely familiar, deeply imprinted in the minds of children born and raised in the countryside.

From that meaning, I wrote "Remember the sound of the buffalo bell"full of Nghe An countryside". This song is the highlight of part 1, it makes the audience excited because they can immerse themselves in the cheerful rhythms and childhood memories of the people of Nghe An. Especially, with creative staging and vivid scenery, the performanceRemember the sound of the buffalo bellreally won the hearts of a wide audience.

Part 2, titled “Vi, Giam flies far away”, conveys the content: Through many changes in history and life, Kinh people went to the mountains to reclaim land, make a living, and live among ethnic minorities. Many Vi, Giam folk song clubs were established, Mong, Thai, Tho, Kho Mu, O Du people all know how to sing Vi, Giam folk songs. Many songs performed in part 2 have conveyed the message that Vi, Giam flies to all directions, remaining in the work and life of people in all regions of the country.

The music in this song is a musical blend of Vi, Giam and folk songs and dances of the Thai people in Nghe An. According to musician Quoc Chung, “Han Khuong” is one of the traditional festivals of the Thai people that has existed for a long time, a playground for “young men and women” to happily sing love songs."Limit"is a performance that combines and blends the two cultural identities of the Kinh and Thai people, creating a unique feature."Limit"Received endless applause for the surprise between the Thai girl and the Vi-Giam boy.

The second act that creates the appeal of the program is "Village festival", the performance uses folk song suites of Vi and Giam (both original and adapted melodies) newly composed to suit the rhythm and joyful, bustling atmosphere of the festival. In the life as well as in the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people (in general), and the people of Nghe An (in particular), village festivals have an extremely important role, being the place to preserve and pass on traditional cultural values of labor to generations of children for many generations.

Village festivals are where young men and women meet, where love blossoms and bears fruit. And "Village festival" showed the excitement and joy of Nghe people, the music and staging of this performance showed the great investment of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center.

Performances such as"Hometown Taste"or "Remember the sound of the buffalo bell", "Han Khuong"We see the picture of the countryside, see the spirit of the ancient Nghe people but also encounter it in today's life.
