Forest fire in mountainous district of Nghe An, hundreds of people urgently put out the fire

Immediately after discovering the forest fire, Ky Son district mobilized functional forces such as the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police of the District Police, the Forest Protection Department, the District Military Command and people of Chieu Luu commune to participate in fighting the forest fire with nearly 100 people.

The burned forest area is regenerating forest, mainly bamboo.

Due to the hot weather and the rugged terrain of the fire area (bordering Chieu Luu commune with Huu Lap and Bao Nam communes, Ky Son district), fire fighting is still facing many difficulties.

According to the authorities of Chieu Luu commune, the locality where the forest fire occurred, the initial cause of the fire was due to people burning fields.

The fire was not extinguished until 6:00 p.m. the same day.

Nghe An: Lurking risk of forest fires
