Branch II, Nguyen Huu family (Nam Dan) received the Certificate of Provincial Historical Relic Ranking

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of the 17th, Branch II, Nguyen Huu clan (Nam Dan commune, Nam Dan district) held a ceremony to receive the Provincial Historical Relic Ranking Certificate.

The Nguyen Huu family in Trung Can village has existed since the ancestor Nguyen Huu Nhuan Oc came here to settle down in the 16th century. Up to now, it has gone through 17 generations with 5 descendants. This is a noble family born in the land of "spiritual land and talented people" in Trung Can village, so every shrine has given birth to excellent children for the family and talented people of the country.

Presently, in addition to the Nguyen Huu Dai Ton family temple, each branch has its own temple. The temple of Branch II of the Nguyen Huu family, Trung Can village, Nam Trung commune, was built in 1867 by Song Nguyen Hoang Giap Nguyen Huu Lap (second generation descendant of Branch II) as a place to worship and commemorate his father, the Imperial Censor Nguyen Trong Duc (in the year of Mau Ngo 1858) and became the temple of Branch II today - where the craftsmen worship historical figures who have contributed to the people and the country, such as the Imperial Censor Nguyen Trong Duc; Song Nguyen Hoang Giap Nguyen Huu Lap; Permanent Deputy Minister of Education Nguyen Huu Dung and descendants of the branch.

Branch II of the Nguyen Huu family became a place for cultural and spiritual activities of descendants in the family and every year many important ceremonies of the family take place.

This place, during the revolutionary period of 1930-1931, became a gathering place for young people, a place where villagers gathered to participate in the "Soviet Nghe Tinh September 12, 1930" demonstration in Hung Nguyen; a place for secret meetings of the Party Cell and a place for people in the area to study "Popular Education".

At Chi II church, the Nguyen Huu family has ancient and precious artifacts of historical and artistic value, such as stone steles, genealogy, parallel sentences, large characters, and wooden signs in Chinese characters.

In particular, the two stone steles were erected in 1867 and 1880, hundreds of years ago, and the wooden plaque “An tu vinh quy” was preserved from the examination in the year of Nham Tuat, Tu Duc era (1862). These are original historical documents, proving the achievements of the ancestors of Branch II of Nguyen Huu family, Trung Can village.

With those historical values, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 3598/QD-UBND, dated August 7, 2017 on ranking the Provincial Historical Relic for the Historical Relic of Branch II Church, Nguyen Huu Family, Nam Trung Commune to put it under management and have strict protection measures.

Speaking at the ceremony to receive the Certificate of ranking as a provincial historical relic of Branch II, Nguyen Huu clan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong highly appreciated the contributions of the Nguyen Huu clan in general and Branch II in particular in the cause of protecting and building the country throughout the long history of the nation.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested Branch II, Nguyen Huu clan to continue to do better in protecting and promoting the value of the relic, becoming a historical - cultural and spiritual address; contributing to fostering the clan's tradition, contributing a lot to building a strong homeland and country.
