Nghe An's industrial production index (IIP) increased by 8.27% in the first month of 2025
Although this year's Tet holiday is 9 days long, in the first month of 2025, Nghe An's industrial production continued to maintain growth momentum.

Information from the Provincial People's Committee said: The industrial production index (IIP) in January 2025 is estimated to increase by 8.27% over the same period in 2024; of which the processing and manufacturing industries are estimated to increase by 9.2%; the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 1.49%; water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 15.49%.
Most major industrial products increased compared to January 2024, such as: canned beer 10 million liters, up 11.67%; yogurt estimated at 4.4 thousand tons, up 75.30%; fresh milk estimated at 34.3 million liters, up 21.46%; cement clinker estimated at 646.2 thousand tons, up 45.43%; electronic components continued to have good output (15 million microphones, 7.5 times higher; headphones without microphone 4.6 million, up 42.96%...).
In Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP dated February 5, 2025 on growth targets for industries, sectors and localities to ensure the national growth target in 2025 reaches 8% or more, the Government assigned a growth target of 10.5% for Nghe An; this is the 3rd highest among 14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions.
To maintain the growth momentum of the industrial sector, contributing to the target of double-digit growth in 2025 as set out, the leaders of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee requested support to boost industrial production right from the first month of the year; strengthen the understanding of difficulties and problems of enterprises to have timely solutions.
Nghe An has established 5 working groups, including the Working Group to direct the growth of the industrial and commercial sectors. The Provincial People's Committee requested the Group to develop a plan to implement the tasks of the program and work with key enterprises and production facilities in 2025.
The province focuses on supporting to accelerate the progress of ongoing projects, especially projects expected to be put into operation in 2025 to increase production capacity, such as: the project to produce communication equipment and electronic components of Fu Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd. (Nghe An), Luxvisions Innovation Nghe An Science and Technology Factory, the optical components production project, the new facility investment project of Sunny Automotive Optical Vina, the metal components production project of Luxcase Precision Technology Co., Ltd. (Vietnam)...
Previously, in 2024, Nghe An witnessed strong growth in the industrial sector. The industrial production index (IIP) reached double digits, up 10.87% compared to 2023, of which the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 10.12%.
According to the General Statistics Office: The Industrial Production Index (IIP) is an indicator to assess the growth rate of industrial production on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. The index is calculated based on the volume of manufactured products, so it is also called the "industrial production volume index".
The industrial production index is an important indicator, quickly reflecting the development situation of the entire industry in general and the development speed of each product and product group in particular; meeting the information needs of State management agencies, investors and other information users.
