Details of the holiday schedule after Lunar New Year 2018

After Lunar New Year, workers across the country will continue to have holidays on the occasion of Hung Kings' death anniversary and April 30 - May 1.

The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) has announced the schedule of holidays in 2018. After the Lunar New Year holiday, the upcoming Hung King's Commemoration Day (March 10th of the lunar calendar) falls on Wednesday, April 25th, and workers will have one day off.

On the occasion of the Victory Day of April 30 and International Labor Day of May 1, civil servants and public employees will have 4 consecutive days off, from April 28 to May 1 (of which April 28 and 29 are weekly days off, April 30 and May 1 are public holidays).

This is a long holiday for workers to have time to rest and travel with friends and family.

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also directed agencies implementing the above holiday schedule to arrange work units reasonably to handle work continuously, ensuring good service to the people.

In case the agencies do not implement the weekly Saturday and Sunday holidays, they will base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange a suitable holiday schedule. Other holidays and Tet holidays in the year will be implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code.

For employees who are not entitled to holidays due to the nature of their work, working on holidays will have the benefit of paid leave - at least 300% not including holiday pay, paid leave for employees receiving daily wages.

In addition to receiving 300% salary during the holiday, the 4/30-5/1 period has 4 days off, of which 2 are weekends. If you work on these 2 weekend days, you will receive 200% salary.
