Holiday schedule details after Lunar New Year 2018
After the Lunar New Year, workers across the country will continue to have holidays on the occasion of Hung Kings' death anniversary and April 30 - May 1.
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) has announced the schedule of holidays and Tet holidays in 2018. In particular, after the Lunar New Year holiday, the upcoming Hung King's Commemoration Day (10th day of the 3rd lunar month) falls on Wednesday, April 25th, and workers will have 1 day off.

On the occasion of the Victory Day of April 30 and International Labor Day of May 1, civil servants and public employees will have 4 consecutive days off, from April 28 to May 1 (of which April 28 and 29 are weekly days off, April 30 and May 1 are public holidays).
This is a long holiday for workers to have time to rest and travel with friends and family.
The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also directed agencies implementing the above holiday schedule to arrange working units reasonably to handle work continuously, ensuring good service to the people.
In case the agencies do not implement the weekly Saturday and Sunday holiday schedule, they will base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange a suitable holiday schedule. Other holidays and Tet holidays in the year will be implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code.
For employees who are not entitled to holidays due to the nature of their work, working on holidays will have the benefit of paid leave - at least 300% excluding holiday pay and paid leave for employees receiving daily wages.
In addition to receiving 300% salary during the holiday, employees will have 4 days off from April 30 to May 1, including 2 weekends. If they work on these 2 weekends, they will receive 200% salary.
