Besides excelling in all academic subjects, Tuyet Suong had a passion for Civic Education since her middle school days. Her aptitude for this subject was discovered by her Civic Education teacher, Nguyen Thi Van Anh. Under the guidance of her dedicated and highly qualified teacher, Suong's talent became increasingly evident in her academic results and scores in the gifted student selection exams each year. From then on, Ms. Van Anh gave Suong special attention. In addition to classroom lessons, she also assigned advanced exercises for Suong to research and create at home.

Speaking about the secret to excelling in Civics, Suong believes that, for any subject, the first thing to do well is to have passion. In addition, it's necessary to manage time effectively for each subject, concentrate in class, grasp the knowledge taught by the teachers, and thoroughly review the learned material at home.

In addition, I researched and read more books, practiced many types of exercises from online resources to become familiar with and increase the difficulty level, thereby accumulating and expanding my knowledge in a solid manner.

Referring to the recent provincial-level gifted student exam for 12th graders, Suong said she took the exam with a very relaxed mindset. Suong was particularly impressed by the question: “The Tuoi Tre online newspaper on September 20, 2022, wrote: 'Most students after graduating from high school do not clearly define their career goals, so they end up studying one thing and working another, wasting their youth and a lot of effort and money. The important thing is that before choosing what to study, you must determine who you want to be in the future.' Present your thoughts after reading this information."

After carefully reading the question, Suong presented a comprehensive overview of the current situation regarding career choices and goal setting among high school students. This includes incorrect career goal identification, choosing majors and professions based on emotions or trends, and insufficient self-understanding of career paths. This leads to consequences such as unemployment, inability to choose a desired career, wasted time and youth, and wasted effort and money for families and society. According to Suong, in the future, schools and society should prioritize career guidance for students; families should pay attention to and guide their children's career choices, avoiding imposing their own choices on them.

Sương was quite satisfied with the answers and the practical connections. Participating in this exam gave her a valuable experience and more confidence for future exams.

“The top score in Civics at this year's provincial excellent student competition is well-deserved, reflecting Sương's tireless efforts and perseverance. Sương possesses a solid foundation in the subject, her writing is clear and coherent, and she has a broad understanding of social issues, demonstrating a serious attitude towards learning. For each lesson, she not only thoroughly studies the textbook but also collects additional materials. She confidently asks her teachers for guidance on difficult questions. Throughout her studies, whenever she makes mistakes, she always corrects them and never repeats them after receiving feedback from her teacher.”

In the 2021-2022 school year, thanks to her dynamism and creativity, Suong contributed to her class winning second prize at the provincial level for a traffic safety video and first prize at the school level for a video expressing gratitude to teachers on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20th…

The fact that Suong achieved the top score in Civic Education.Provincial Excellent Student ExaminationThis is a source of great pride for Tan Ky High School, and it also shows that Civic Education always holds a special place in the hearts of students if they are instilled with a love and passion for it, and if teachers employ appropriate teaching methods.
