New soldiers of Division 324 do not covet lost property.
(Baonghean.vn) - At Battalion 6, Regiment 335, Division 324, Military Region 4, officers and soldiers praised the example of new soldier Hoang Van Chinh, Platoon 1, Company 9, for not coveting lost property.
On the afternoon of March 15, after coming home from dinner, Hoang Van Chinh went to do laundry and found a wallet on the wall of the well. Inside the wallet was 1 million VND and many documents such as: ID card, health insurance card, motorbike license, stamps... bearing the name Vo Ngoc Hai.
Thinking that it was a wallet that his comrades in the unit had left behind, Chinh took the wallet back to his room to report to Captain Pham Hong Manh - his Platoon Leader. When it was time to read the newspaper, the officer announced that it was the wallet of Vo Ngoc Hai - a new recruit of Platoon 12, Company 9. The officer invited Chinh to the front of the line to hand the wallet back to Hai amid thunderous applause.
This morning, meeting us during break time, Chinh confided: "When I picked up the wallet, I saw money and many important documents, at that time everyone was coming back from dinner. I think, the material things of teammates are like your own, when lost, you will be very worried, the money in the wallet is not yours, you should not take it but find someone to return it."

Talking to us, Captain Nguyen Manh Tuan - Political Commissar of Company 9, Battalion 6 said: "Comrade Chinh has always been confident in his work since joining the unit, strictly obeying military discipline, always diligent, hard-working, eager to learn in his studies, and guiding and correcting those who did not master the lesson well, so he is loved by many people. Although he has just received his first month of allowance, Chinh has saved 500,000 VND."
Through investigation, Hoang Van Chinh's parents were both farmers, from poor households. Before joining the army, Chinh worked as a factory worker, but following the sacred call of the Fatherland, Chinh volunteered to join the army.
The work of new soldier Hoang Van Chinh was highly praised by officers and soldiers in the unit and was promoted in the emulation movement to achieve achievements to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
