On the afternoon of June 27, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province informed that Nghe An discovered 5 new cases of Covid-19 infection and 01 case tested positive again after being cured from Bac Giang and returning. Specifically as follows:

First new caset is PTN, female, born in 1976, occupation is railway employee, address at lane 21, Le Ninh street, Quan Bau ward, Vinh city. Patient PTN was discovered through screening high-risk areas. Patient PTN's house is near the house of the NXH patient discovered on June 26. Patient PTN occasionally talked with the NXH patient. At the time of discovery, patient PTN was being quarantined at home.

Second new caseBTS, female, born in 1970, occupation is a trader at the wholesale market, address in Vinh Xuan hamlet, Hung Dong commune, Vinh city. Patient BTS was discovered through screening samples of people related to the wholesale market on June 26. Patient BTS has been quarantined at home since June 24.

Third new caseis HTT, female, born in 1975, working as a trader at Vinh wholesale market, address in hamlet 2, Quynh Minh commune, Quynh Luu district. Patient HTT is F1 of patient LTPN who was announced earlier. The patient was tested rapidly 3 times and was negative on June 20, June 23, and June 24. On June 24, patient HTT was quarantined. On June 26, patient HTT showed symptoms of fever and sore throat and was tested rapidly with positive results; then tested by PCR and confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Fourth new caseis HPH, male, born in 2004, address at lane 21, Le Ninh street, Quan Bau ward, Vinh city. Patient HPH is the son of patient PTN; was quarantined before testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Fifth new caseis NTL, female, born in 1947, address at lane 21, Le Ninh street, Quan Bau ward, Vinh city. Patient NTL is the mother of patient PTN; was quarantined before testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

There is also1 patient tested positive again, that is patient VVN, male, born in 1991, address in Lang Trong, Nghia Tho commune, Nghia Dan district. Patient VVN completed Covid-19 treatment in Bac Giang province, had negative test results, returned to the area on June 17 and quarantined at home; the first test sample taken on June 18 had negative results. On June 26, Nghia Dan District Medical Center took the second sample and transferred it to Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital for confirmatory testing, with positive results for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Thus, up to now, Nghe An province has detected 77 positive cases of Covid-19, of which: Vinh city has 45 cases, Dien Chau has 12 cases, Tan Ky has 01 case, Quy Hop has 05 cases, Nam Dan has 04 cases, Do Luong has 01 case, Hoang Mai has 02 cases, Nghia Dan has 01 case, Nghi Loc has 02 cases, Quynh Luu has 04 cases. In addition, 01 re-positive case was detected from Bac Giang in Nghia Dan district./.
