(Baonghean) - To celebrate the 71st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2016) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vinh City has been implementing decoration and propaganda activities in the area, helping to make the urban appearance more fresh and spacious, creating a solemn atmosphere towards the great national holiday.

Vinh City streets are decorated to welcome National Day September 2.

Based on Plan No. 1943/KH-SVHTTDL dated July 20, 2016 of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, Vinh City People's Committee issued Document No. 4040/UBND-VHTT dated August 12, 2016, with the aim of effectively implementing decoration and propaganda activities throughout the city to relevant departments, units and wards and communes before the holidays in August and September.

Implementing the direction of the City People's Committee, the units have actively carried out the assigned tasks, completing them on time, on time or before the prescribed time. Walking around the city, it can be seen that propaganda and agitation activities on some billboards and socialized propaganda and advertising signs at the bun-va of streets such as Le Duan, Nguyen Du, Tran Phu, Quang Trung, Le Loi, Phan Boi Chau, Nguyen Sy Sach have been deployed.

The system of trees, flower beds, and ornamental plants on the streets, city parks, and the area of ​​Emperor Quang Trung Temple are neatly and orderly arranged. The lighting system, LED lights, and decorative lights on the streets are also inspected, detected, and promptly repaired and replaced by the city's infrastructure management and development unit.

Mr. Bui Quang Phuong - Head of the Department of Culture and Information, Vinh City People's Committee said: "Implementing the direction of the City People's Committee leaders, the Department of Culture and Information has promptly implemented assigned tasks, connected with relevant units to do a good job of propaganda; urged and directed wards and communes to organize practical cultural and sports activities towards the anniversaries. The Department identifies this as a regular task, implemented annually but needs to be seriously and promptly implemented, bringing a neat appearance and creating a solemn atmosphere for the city on anniversaries".

Households on Truong Tien Street strictly follow the regulation of hanging the national flag during holidays.

In residential areas, the holiday atmosphere seems to permeate every corner. Roads are cleaned, national flags are hung solemnly in front of each family, flying brightly. Responding to the launch of the People's Committees of wards and communes on general cleaning of roads in the block, hamlet, roads through wards and communes, headquarters of agencies, units and historical sites, organizing the removal and handling of illegal classified advertisements in the area, many blocks and hamlets have mobilized the participation and responsibility of the people, including block 7, Doi Cung ward.

Mr. Le Xuan Que - Head of the Block shared: “Since August 16, households have generally voluntarily and seriously implemented the regulations on hanging the national flag to celebrate the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. To ensure that 100% of households hang the flag correctly and beautifully, block officials also visit each household to remind everyone to do so. Despite being busy with daily work, people in the block actively participate in collective activities such as arts and sports, creating an exciting and joyful atmosphere, further strengthening the bonds of solidarity in the community”.

It must be affirmed that beautifying the city before major holidays such as Independence Day is not only a demonstration of the respect and remembrance of today's generation for the heroic history of the nation, but also creates a beautiful cultural feature in urban life.
