As a result, 54/54 delegates voted in favor of dismissing Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung from the position of Delegate of the People's Council of Quang Nam province, Term X, 2021-2026.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung is a member of the Economic and Budget Committee, a delegate of the People's Council of Quang Nam province, term X. Previously, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung submitted a resignation letter as a delegate of the People's Council of Quang Nam province.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung was born on February 5, 1978, his hometown is Dien Ngoc ward, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province. Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung is currently the Party Cell Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dat Quang Group Joint Stock Company.

Previously, VOV reported on the incident of Nguyen Viet Dung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dat Quang Group Joint Stock Company, using a golf club to hit a female employee at BRG Da Nang Golf Course on December 6, 2022. Nearly a week after the incident, on December 13, for the first time, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung officially admitted to his act of beating someone and publicly apologized to the victim.

On January 3, the Ngu Hanh Son District Police, Da Nang City, decided to administratively fine Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung 6.5 million VND for "intentionally causing harm to the health of others but not being prosecuted for criminal responsibility".

Next, the Dien Ban City Party Committee, which is managing Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung in terms of the Party, directed the Party Cell of Dat Quang Group Joint Stock Company to conduct an investigation and at the same time guide the implementation of disciplinary steps against Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung according to regulations.

According to the Inspection Committee of Dien Ban Town Party Committee, Quang Nam Province, the Party Cell of Dat Quang Group Joint Stock Company is currently implementing the disciplinary process and will have the results of disciplining party member Nguyen Viet Dung this March. According to Regulation No. 69 of the Party Central Committee issued on July 6, 2022 on disciplinary action against party organizations and party members, the act of beating people by party member Nguyen Viet Dung is a "violation of regulations on ethics and civilized lifestyle".

According to information from Dien Ban City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung has submitted a resignation letter from the position of Party Cell Secretary of Dat Quang Group Joint Stock Company due to lack of personal prestige. However, Dien Ban City Party Committee will only consider Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung's letter after concluding on disciplinary action against this party member.
