Since the 6th day of Tet, Anh Son district has planted bamboo in vulnerable areas at risk of landslides, creating a solid ecological embankment along the Lam River.

Nghe An Farmers' Association launched a movement for farmers to plant trees to prevent landslides and create landscapes on both banks of the Lam River.

At the launching ceremony, leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Association, leaders of Thanh Chuong district and farmers' association members of Dung town planted some kapok trees and 300 bamboo trees along the Lam River bank through Thanh Chuong town.
