(Baonghean.vn) - Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized this content when talking to key cadres in charge of propaganda and education work of the province at the regular November reporter conference organized by the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department on the morning of November 23.

Attending the conference were comrade Le Ba Hung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, leaders and experts of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, reporters of the Provincial Party Committee; heads and deputy heads of the Propaganda and Training Departments of Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, the Fatherland Front and provincial-level organizations, the Propaganda Department, and directors of the Political Training Centers of district, city and town Party Committees.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Provincial Party Secretary attended the conference and deployed a number of contents on the role of foreign affairs.

When providing information on foreign affairs, the Provincial Party Secretary said: Nghe An is one of the localities receiving the most ODA projects in the country. In particular, projects from JICA (Japan) are in particular. Currently, thanks to JICA's capital, the province is implementing the renovation of Do Luong wharf and canals with a capital of up to 5,700 billion VND.

JICA also provided funding for three projects: Renovation and provision of medical equipment for Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital; tourism development and restructuring of the province’s agricultural sector. Currently, the province is promoting the call for funding for the project of building a sluice to prevent salinity and retain fresh water in the Lam River.

In addition, through capital from the World Bank (WB), Nghe An has the conditions to implement the Vinh Urban Sub-project to upgrade and renovate the North Canal, build a regulating lake and dredge the Vinh ancient citadel moat...

Regarding the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), the Provincial Party Secretary assessed that currently, officials, businesses, and people in the province still do not fully understand information about this important Agreement, while the challenges of participating in the TPP are huge, but there are also many opportunities.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Provincial Party Secretary emphasized the role of foreign affairs in general and foreign economic affairs in particular in the socio-economic development of the province.

Therefore, to be able to stand firm when TPP comes into effect, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that it is necessary to promote the dissemination of TPP content to officials and businesses... In particular, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department should open a special topic to talk about this issue.

Affirming the role of foreign affairs, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: The province has been focusing on foreign affairs in general and foreign economic affairs in particular. From there, attracting and utilizing ODA capital, technology, effective management methods and attracting investment to exploit the province's potential, along with promoting internal resources, Nghe An can develop quickly and sustainably.
