Groom divorces wife after less than 15 minutes of marriage
A couple's marriage in Dubai ended quickly after the groom felt offended when his father-in-law was too quick to ask for a dowry.
Son-in-lawThe agreement with the father-in-law was to pay Dh100,000 (about 620 million VND) as a dowry and mention this amount in the marriage contract.As per the agreement, he would pay Dh50,000 upon signing the contract at the Sharia court office and the rest upon leaving the court.

Family members and friends accompany the bride and groom to the office to witness the signing of the marriage contract.The groom paid his father-in-law Dh50,000 at the court office when he signed the papers and when the young couple and their guests left, the father-in-law asked his son-in-law to pay the rest.
He asked his father-in-law to wait a few minutes and assured him that the money was in his car. But the bride's father insisted that his son-in-law pay immediately,according toGulf News.
"He felt insulted and humiliated by his father-in-law. He told the bride's father that he did not want to live with his daughter anymore and divorced her less than 15 minutes after the marriage contract was signed," said the groom's lawyer.
