Russian State Duma Chairman: Delivering weapons to Kiev will lead to global disaster
(Baonghean.vn) - State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin stated that the West's provision of offensive weapons to Kiev would lead to a global disaster and retaliatory measures by the Russian Federation using more powerful weapons.
"Supplying offensive weapons to the Kiev regime will lead to a global catastrophe. If Washington and NATO countries supply weapons that will be used to attack civilian cities and try to seize our territory, as they threaten, this will lead to retaliatory measures using more powerful weapons," Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Russian politician also noted that members of the US Congress, deputies of the Bundestag (German Parliament), the French Parliament and other European parliaments "must be aware of their responsibility to humanity."
“With their decisions, Washington and Brussels are leading the world to a terrible war: a war very different from today, when attacks are carried out only on military and vital infrastructure used by the Kiev authorities. Given the technological superiority of Russian weapons, foreign politicians who make such decisions must understand that this can lead to a global tragedy that will destroy their countries,” the State Duma Chairman added.
According to him, the previous nuclear powers have not faced situations that threatened the security of their citizens and the territorial integrity of their countries, so the argument about not using weapons of mass destruction in local conflicts in the past is incorrect.
Last week, Western allies pledged billions of dollars in weapons to Ukraine, although they failed to persuade Germany to lift its veto on the supply of Berlin-made Leopard battle tanks to Kiev./.
