Chairman Nguyen Xuan Duong inspected storm recovery work in Do Luong

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 17, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the recovery work of storm No. 2 in Do Luong.

Storm No. 2 occurred in the middle of the night, causing rain and strong winds of level 7 and level 8, causing great damage in Do Luong district. According to initial reports, storm No. 2 has broken hundreds of old trees, causing traffic jams on all routes. In particular, the storm also broke dozens of electric poles, some houses had their roofs blown off and many fallen trees damaged houses.

Immediately after the storm passed, Do Luong district mobilized military, police, and youth volunteers to participate in the recovery, organized forces to clear trees to ensure timely traffic safety. Do Luong district established 5 teams to directly go to the base to inspect, grasp the situation, and direct the recovery.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong highly appreciated the direction of Do Luong district in overcoming the consequences caused by storm No. 2, and at the same time requested the district's Storm and Flood Prevention Steering Committee to deploy all measures to overcome the consequences, organize support for people to repair houses, clear drainage systems, and stabilize agricultural production./.
