National Assembly Chairman leaves for Cuba to attend Fidel Castro's memorial service
The state funeral of Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro Ruz will take place for 9 days, from now until December 4.
This morning (November 28), National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan led a high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of Vietnam to Cuba to attend the memorial service for Comrade Fidel Castro Ruz, former First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, former President of the Council of State and Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, and Leader of the Cuban people from November 28-30.

President Fidel Castro Ruz was born on August 13, 1926, and passed away on November 25, 2016. The state funeral of revolutionary leader Fidel Castro Ruz will take place for 9 days, from now until December 4. The high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of Vietnam also includes Chairman of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc; Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Duong Minh; Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Quang Vinh; Permanent Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission Tran Dac Loi; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vu Hong Nam; Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Pham Khanh; Deputy Head of the President's Office Chu Van Yem; Deputy Head of the Government Office Pham Cao Luc; Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Nguyen Sy Cuong; Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, Assistant to the National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngan.
During his lifetime, President Fidel Castro Ruz was a great friend of Vietnam. He was also a leading head of state in the international movement, supporting the just struggle of the Vietnamese people for national independence and reunification in the past, as well as the cause of reconstruction, construction and protection of the socialist Vietnamese homeland today./.
