Reporting to the National Assembly Chairman and the working delegation, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duc - Secretary of Nam Dan District Party Committee said: In 2022, the district's economy continued to grow well. 23/23 targets met and exceeded the plan. The growth rate of production value reached 9.71%. The One Commune One Product (OCOP) program was effectively implemented, 19/19 communes and towns had products.

Nam Dan is currently the leading district in the province in terms of the number of OCOP products with 73 products recognized as 3 stars or higher. Average income per capita reached 62 million VND. The rate of poor households is 0.87%, and near-poor households is 3.17%.

Infrastructure investment is quite synchronous. Social security work is well taken care of and implemented; culture, health care, and education have positive changes. Security, national defense, and social order and safety are ensured.

The movement to build model new rural areas and civilized urban areas has been actively responded to by all classes of people and has had many improvements with specific actions such as: Building "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful" hamlets, blocks, and residential areas; building standard gardens, model gardens, model roads, etc.

To date, Kim Lien commune has been recognized as a model new rural commune, and 4 communes have been recognized as advanced new rural communes. In 2022, the district has completed the dossier to submit to the province for appraisal and recognition of 4 more model new rural communes and 4 advanced new rural communes.

In general, the rural appearance has become more spacious, clean and beautiful, contributing to improving material and spiritual life, creating an exciting competitive atmosphere among cadres, party members and people.

Preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year of Quy Mao 2023, Nam Dan district organized visits and presented Tet gifts to people with meritorious services to the revolution and social protection beneficiaries with a total budget of more than 5.3 billion VND. Of which, the President presented gifts to 6,972 people with a total budget of more than 2.1 billion VND; The provincial and district budgets ensured gifts for people with meritorious services, supported the poor to celebrate Tet, and wished longevity to the elderly with a total budget of nearly 3.2 billion VND.

Responding to the Appeal Letter for Tet for the Poor in the Spring of Quy Mao 2023 of the Provincial Party Secretary, Party committees, authorities, and organizations in the political system from district to grassroots levels have focused on mobilizing resources to support poor households and disadvantaged households to have conditions to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet.

Up to now, 206 agencies, units, organizations and individuals have supported and awarded 5,040 gifts worth nearly 3.5 billion VND. 100% of poor and near-poor households in the district have received support gifts, ensuring a full, joyful and warm Tet Quy Mao.

At the program, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented funding to support the construction of 10 solidarity houses, each worth 60 million VND, to 10 poor households with housing difficulties; presented 10 gifts to exemplary families; and 200 gifts to policy families and families in difficult circumstances in Nam Dan district.
