Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and worked in Con Cuong district

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 11, a working delegation led by comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee worked at a number of key models and projects in Con Cuong district.

Also attending were representatives of provincial departments, branches and leaders of Con Cuong district.

The delegation visited the headquarters of Yen Khe Commune People's Committee - the first commune of Con Cuong to reach the new rural finish line.

Con Cuong district needs to summarize lessons learned in directing the implementation of the national target program on new rural construction in the coming time.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited the Van Du orange growing model in Yen Khe commune, generating an annual income of 600 million VND/ha.

Next, the delegation visited the Chi Khe hydropower project invested by Agrita - Nghe Tinh Energy Joint Stock Company with a total investment of more than 1,370 billion VND, designed capacity of 41MW. It is expected that Unit 1 will generate electricity at the end of March, Unit 2 will generate electricity in April, and the entire project will be completed in September.

Thanh Nam Bridge Inspection Team, the project is facing difficulties in funding.

On the same morning, the delegation visited the Thanh Nam Bridge Project across Lam River in Bong Khe Commune, which is currently facing difficulties in funding due to the Government's policy of prioritizing the construction of public bridges.

The delegation also inspected the progress of the 12-storey Muong Thanh Con Cuong Hotel construction project, meeting 4-star standards with a total investment of about 365 billion VND; expected to be inaugurated and put into use on September 2; and visited the Environmental Education Center in the Pu Mat National Park.

Also this morning, the working group surveyed the route to the Southwest Nghe An Regional General Hospital and the district stadium.

This afternoon, within the framework of the visit, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will have a working session with the leaders of Con Cuong district to listen to and give opinions on the socio-economic development situation of the district.
