Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: Building a production value chain in afforestation

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 6, Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan - Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the working delegation visited a number of facilities and production models in Nghia Dan district.

Also attending, on the Central side were comrades: Vo Kim Cu - Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; Luong Quoc Doan - Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Farmers' Association, the Provincial Cooperative Union, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and a number of departments, branches, and leaders of Nghia Dan district.

Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan visited the project "High-tech industrial-scale concentrated dairy farming and milk processing".

Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan visited the project "High-tech industrial-scale concentrated dairy farming and milk processing". Up to now, the project has completed phase 1 investment with a total investment of 500 million USD, a total herd of more than 45,000 cows.

Currently, this is the largest concentrated dairy farm in Asia, applying high technology. Next, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front visited and learned about the process of the TH Group's organic vegetable growing project.

Visiting the May 1 Fruit Tree Agricultural Cooperative, comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan highly appreciated the model of cooperation between TH Group and this Cooperative in investment in production and orientation of product consumption. Although newly established, due to the cooperation with TH Group to invest in input and consume output, the members of the Cooperative are very confident in growing and caring for oranges, promising to bring high efficiency.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front visited and learned about the process of growing organic vegetables of TH Group.

Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan visited the fruit tree agricultural cooperative on May 1.

The delegation also visited Nghe An Wood Processing Factory, belonging to May Forestry Joint Stock Company in Nghia Dan Industrial Park. This is a factory with a total investment of 300 million USD with production lines for laminated wood panels and MDF fiberboard.

After visiting the models, TH Group leaders recommended that ministries and branches soon issue production standards for agricultural products; at the same time, they recommended that Nghe An province continue to maintain planning and raw material areas such as sugarcane and acacia raw material areas.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh affirmed that Nghe An province always pays attention and commits to investors to ensure raw material areas such as acacia and sugarcane. The Provincial Party Secretary also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology to improve productivity and quality of sugarcane raw materials.

Closing the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan acknowledged the development steps of TH Group's investment in Nghia Dan; at the same time, he requested that this enterprise continue to coordinate to build the 1/5 fruit tree agricultural cooperative to develop effectively; thereby expanding many more cooperatives.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also hopes that TH Group will continue to support farmers in planting forests to provide raw materials for wood processing factories, as well as build a production value chain in the forestry profession with the participation of farmers, cooperatives and wood processing factories.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh spoke of his commitment to ensuring raw material areas for investors.

Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan also suggested that the province continue to pay attention to planning raw material areas; at the same time, the Cooperative Union and the Provincial Farmers' Association coordinate to guide farmers to participate in the production value chain linked with businesses.

Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan spoke at the meeting and requested TH Group to continue to effectively link production with farmers.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also planted a souvenir tree in the premises of Nghe An Wood Processing Factory.
