Honoring the 'Reading Culture Ambassadors' of Nghe An province in 2025
After more than 2 months of launching and implementing, the Nghe An Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025 ended with a solemn closing and awarding ceremony, leaving many marks in spreading the reading movement among students and the community.
On the afternoon of September 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest of Nghe An province in 2025. Attending the ceremony were leaders of departments, branches, and representatives of many schools along with a large number of teachers, parents and students.

The contest is one of the practical activities to implement the Project “Developing reading culture in the community until 2020, orientation to 2030” approved by the Prime Minister. With the enthusiastic response of students at all levels, the contest has contributed to nurturing the love of books, encouraging imagination and creativity, suitable for all ages and many different subjects.

This year, the contest attracted 164,733 entries from primary, secondary and high school students across the province. After the district-level preliminary round, 2,336 excellent entries were selected to enter the provincial preliminary round.
According to the organizers, the highlight of this year's contest is the diversity of expression. In addition to writing reviews about books, many students boldly wrote short stories, poems, or developed plans and initiatives to develop a reading culture in schools, families and communities. Many videos and clips were carefully invested, creative and highly convincing.

Notably, the number of entries has increased sharply compared to previous years, showing that the reading movement is receiving more and more attention from schools, parents and society. Many students in remote areas, despite having difficulties in learning conditions, still actively participate, contributing to the widespread influence of the contest.

As a result, the organizing committee awarded 3 collective prizes and 84 individual prizes, and selected 6 outstanding entries to participate in the national final round. In the collective prize, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted won first prize; Huynh Thuc Khang High School and Hung Dung Middle School won second prize.
In the individual category, 3 first prizes were awarded to: Nguyen Van Chi (class 4B, Quynh Thach Primary School, Quynh Van), Le Nguyen Linh Nhi (class 8H, Trung Do Secondary School) and Trinh Ngoc Linh (class 11C9, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted). In addition, the organizing committee also awarded 6 second prizes, 9 third prizes, 15 consolation prizes and 50 special prizes.
