Focus on gathering and uniting the literary and artistic creation team of ethnic minorities in Nghe An

That was the general assessment at the 3rd Congress of the Literature and Arts Association of Ethnic Minorities in Nghe An, term 2019 - 2024, which took place on the morning of September 14 in Vinh City.

Attending the Congress, on behalf of the Vietnam Association of Ethnic Minorities Literature and Arts, there was Mr. Nong Quoc Binh - Chairman of the Association. On behalf of Nghe An province, there was a representative of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department.Provincial Ethnic Committee,Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Provincial Literature and Arts Association and many members of the Literature and Arts Association of Ethnic Minorities of Vietnam in Nghe An.

The Vietnam Ethnic Minority Literature and Arts Association in Nghe An is a member of the Vietnam Ethnic Minority Literature and Arts Association. During the 2014 - 2019 term, along with the general development of the country's literature and arts, the Association has achieved many remarkable results.

Accordingly, at the beginning of the term, the Association had 19 members, operating in 6 fields (prose, poetry, folk arts, photography, music, dance); by the end of the term, it admitted 3 more members and created favorable conditions for qualified members to join the Nghe An Provincial Literature and Arts Association.

During the past term, the Association's members had over 250 published literary and artistic works; 3 research works in the field of social sciences and humanities.

The Association regularly pays attention to raising political awareness for its members. Over the years, its members have constantly made creative efforts, contributing to the effective implementation of the Party and State's policies on literature and art. Each member of the Association is both an artist and a soldier on the Party's cultural and ideological front.

In addition to the achievements, the Congress frankly assessed the limitations and shortcomings in the activities in the past time. That is, the activities of the Executive Committee are still procedural and formal, not really close to reality; the implementation and organization of some professional activities of the association is not really systematic...

Attending the Congress, delegates also presented papers that were close to the reality of the cultural and artistic life of ethnic minorities. Writer Quan Vi Mien - a researcher and collector of folk culture and art - raised concerns about the young creative generation: "In my opinion, there should be a policy to encourage the young generation to come to literature and art. Nowadays, they want to go far away to work and do business, but few want to come to literature and art, or join the activities of the Association."

Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Vietnam Ethnic Minorities Literature and Arts Association Nong Quoc Binh praised and acknowledged the achievements of the Vietnam Ethnic Minorities Literature and Arts Association in Nghe An. He hoped that in the coming time, the Association members will continue to promote the achievements, actively create, diversify topics and methods of expression to create good and vivid literary and artistic works on ethnic and mountainous topics.

Regarding the direction of activities for the next term, the Congress also agreed to focus on gathering and uniting members along with improving quality and sense of responsibility; focusing on building a team of authors, especially young authors; innovating the content and methods of operation of the Association to meet the requirements of the new period...

The Congress elected a new Executive Committee and agreed on the list of 17 delegates to attend the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Association of Literature and Arts of Ethnic Minorities.
