Vien Quang Pagoda organizes voluntary blood donation festival
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 6, Vien Quang Pagoda (in Nam Thanh Commune, Nam Dan District) coordinated with the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to organize the "Voluntary Blood Donation Festival" in 2019.

The blood donation festival took place in the temple hall with nearly 60 volunteers, including monks, nuns, and Buddhists. At the end of the blood donation, the Organizing Committee collected 58 units of blood.

Mr. Nguyen Tat Vinh - Head of the Board of Trustees of Vien Quang Pagoda said that voluntary blood donation is a noble act, contributing to ensuring blood supply for patient treatment and emergency care. In recent years, Vien Quang Pagoda has organized voluntary blood donation 11 times, but this is the first time it has been held at the pagoda.
