Preparing for the 1300th Anniversary of the Hoan Chau Uprising and the Mai King Temple Festival in 2013
(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of October 1, the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with Nam Dan district and related departments and agencies regarding the plan to organize the 1300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau Uprising, the 1290th anniversary of the death of Mai Hac De and the 2013 Mai King Temple Festival. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired.
The celebration of the above events aims to commemorate the merits of King Mai Thuc Loan and his generals and to review the heroic spirit of the uprising against the Tang invaders to build an independent Van An country; At the same time, to educate the young generation about patriotism. The celebration is also an opportunity for people and tourists from all over to learn and enjoy the traditional cultural values and good customs of a Nghe An countryside; It is an opportunity to promote and introduce the Mai Hac De historical and cultural relic cluster and the tourism potential of Nam Dan in particular, Nghe An in general.

The 1300th Anniversary of the Hoan Chau Uprising, the 1290th Anniversary of the Death of Mai Hac De and the 2013 King Mai Temple Festival are expected to be held over 3 days (from January 13 to 15, Quy Ty year) and will be divided into two parts (the ceremony and the festival). The ceremony includes: the proclamation ceremony, the procession ceremony, the Great Sacrifice ceremony, and the thanksgiving ceremony. The rally to commemorate the 1300th Anniversary of the Hoan Chau Uprising, the 1290th Anniversary of the Death of Mai Hac De and the 2013 King Mai Temple Festival will be broadcast live on VTV1 and NTV on the evening of January 14 or 15 of the lunar calendar, 2013, from the ceremony yard of the King Mai tomb, Van Dien commune. The highlight of the ceremony is the art program "Van An Flame". The festival includes activities such as: Camping, boat racing across Lam River, folk games, writing contest about the life and career of King Mai and the Hoan Chau Uprising...
Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized: This is one of the important activities to open the series of activities in 2013, which will be chaired by the Provincial People's Committee. Therefore, the ceremonial activities must be prepared very carefully, from script development, program directing, especially the program of the Rally to celebrate the 1300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau Uprising, the 1290th anniversary of the death of Mai Hac De and the 2013 King Mai Temple Festival. It is determined that propaganda work on mass media must be given top priority. After this meeting, Nam Dan district will soon complete the final organization plan to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval; the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will be primarily responsible for developing the art program "Van An Flame"; The Provincial Youth Union established the Organizing Committee of the contest "Learning about the life and career of King Mai...", contributing to the success of the program of the Rally to celebrate the 1300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau Uprising, the 1290th anniversary of the death of Mai Hac De and the 2013 King Mai Temple Festival.
