'Green Temple' program plants more than 1,100 trees on Dai Hue mountain
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 17, in Nam Anh commune, Nam Dan district, Natural Resources and Environment Magazine (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) coordinated with Dai Tue pagoda to organize a tree planting ceremony in the "Green Pagoda" program, planting 1,115 trees on Dai Hue mountain.

Responding to the Prime Minister's initiative to plant 1 billion trees launched in Directive No. 45/CT-TTg dated December 31, 2020 on organizing the "Tet Tree Planting" movement and strengthening forest development; along with the call of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha, Natural Resources and Environment MagazineEnvironmentcooperate with a number of companies to implement the "Green Temple" project.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Natural Resources and Environment Magazine and accompanying companies and businessmen donated trees to Dai Tue Pagoda. On this occasion, the program's Organizing Committee also awarded Commemorative Medals to a number of units and individuals.

Immediately after the ceremony, representatives of the Magazine, the pagoda, accompanying companies and delegates organized the planting of 1,115 new trees in the Dai Tue pagoda campus, including 500 camphor trees, 150 Nam Anh rose trees, 150 grapefruit trees, 100 mango trees, 100 peach trees, 100 plum trees, and 15 bodhi trees.
The "Green Pagoda" program aims to promote the spirit of solidaritycommunity, individuals and organizations, in mobilizing combined strength, expanding tree planting activities further to respond to the emergency of climate change and environmental pollution.
