(Baonghean.vn) - On January 16, the Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union of Nghe An province jointly organized the program "Warm Spring, Sharing Tet" in 2022 in Dooc May commune, Ky Son district.

The program "Warm Spring, Sharing Tet" in 2022 was jointly organized by the Provincial Youth Union - Youth Union of Nghe An province and accompanying units in Dooc May commune (Ky Son). The program took place with a series of activities including: presenting the "Rural traffic road" project in Huoi Vieng; presenting 100 welfare bags to households in difficult circumstances in Pha Lech Phay village; presenting warm clothes to students, warm blankets to poor households and Youth Union shirts and flags to Youth Union branches in Dooc May commune.

This is an activity in response to the Provincial Party Secretary's Appeal for Support for "Tet for the Poor" and the volunteer programs "Warm Winter 2021", "Volunteer Spring 2022". The program aims to accompany and share with families and children in remote areas to overcome difficulties to have a warm Tet. At the same time, promote the pioneering and volunteering role of the province's youth in social security activities.

At Doc May Primary School, the program presented 400 warm coats, 100 welfare gift bags, 50 warm blankets, 100 Union flags, and Union shirts to students of Doc May Primary and Kindergarten, disadvantaged households, and local union members and youth.

Located 55 km from the center of Muong Xen town, Dooc May commune has an area of ​​nearly 9,768 hectares with a total of 383householdMong people. Currently, Dooc May commune has a very difficult economic life with the total number of poor households being over 71% (272 households).

Speaking at the program, the Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union affirmed that over the years, Nghe An youth have always strived to carry out many programs towards mountainous, remote and isolated areas of the province. In particular, the program "Warm Spring - Sharing Tet" is an annual activity demonstrating the continuation of the tradition of mutual love, mutual assistance in caring for the lives of the poor. From here, it contributes to encouraging, motivating and helping families have more joy in life and celebrate a joyful and warm Tet.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited and presented some equipment to serve the production increase at Na Loi Border Post.

Currently, Na Loi Border Guard Station is in charge of a nearly 4 km long border section, managing border markers adjacent to Huoi Khang village, Huoi Lom village cluster, Noong Het, Xieng Khouang (Lao PDR) and 2 communes Dooc May and Na Loi. These 2 communes have 11 border villages (Dooc May has 6 villages and Na Loi has 5 villages) with 3 ethnic groups living there: Mong, Thai and Kho Mu.

At the program, the accompanying unit (Nghe Nhan Real Estate Company Limited) donated 50 million VND to Na Loi Border Guard Station and 5 wide-screen TVs to Dooc May Primary and Kindergarten.
