Story of a male student from a district school in Nghe An winning the laurel wreath of the weekly contest "Road to Olympia"
(Baonghean.vn) - In the program "Road to Olympia" broadcast on VTV3 on the afternoon of September 11, Phan Thanh Dat - a 12th grade student of A1 class, Thanh Chuong 3 High School, excellently won the laurel wreath of the weekly competition, the 22nd year.
“An interesting experience”
This week's "Road to Olympia" competition has 4 contestants competing: Kim Ngoc Minh Chau (Kim Lien High School, Hanoi), Trinh Luong Viet (Lam Son High School for the Gifted, Thanh Hoa), Phan Thanh Dat (Thanh Chuong 3 High School, Nghe An) and Le Hoang Anh (Krong No High School, Dak Nong).

In the “Warm-up” round, Dat continuously scored points. At the end of the first round, Dat led the “mountain climbing team” with 95 points, 40 points more than the next contestant. In the “Overcoming Obstacles” and “Acceleration” rounds, once again demonstrating his inherent ability and knowledge, Dat still excellently maintained the top position with 145 points, the remaining contestants had scores of 130 and 120.
The “Finish” round was tense, Dat chose the 20-20-20 question package. Although he lost points in his questions, he had a spectacular comeback in Le Hoang Anh’s 2 questions. With 2 correct answers about the potential energy of a bow when shooting an arrow and the effect of hormones to create seedless fruits. These 2 questions brought Dat an additional 40 points.
Excellently leading in all 4 rounds, contestant Phan Thanh Dat - Thanh Chuong 3 High School (Nghe An) won convincingly with 185 points, becoming the owner of the laurel wreath of "Road to Olympia" week 3, March 4, quarter 4, year 22.

Talking about the brain-teaser show he just participated in, Dat shared: “I applied to participate in the show a long time ago, but I still didn’t hear from the TV station, I thought I wouldn’t be able to compete anymore. Then suddenly I received an invitation just 10 days before the competition.”
According to Dat, this was his first time participating in the competition, and he met some of his friends who were students from specialized schools, but he was still very calm, confident, and competed with all his might. "Participating in the program with the spirit of exchange and learning, I felt quite comfortable. I consider this an interesting experience, an unforgettable memory for me and my friends and teachers at school" - Dat shared.
It is known that accompanying Dat in this competition, in addition to his family and relatives, there are also many teachers and many students and alumni of Thanh Chuong 3 High School, including more than 30 students of class 12 A1.

During the participation in “Road to Olympia” in Hanoi, Dat and the school received the attention and support of the Thanh Chuong 3 High School Alumni Association and Thanh Chuong people in Hanoi. The Thanh Chuong 3 High School Alumni Association sponsored all the travel, accommodation, and sightseeing expenses for the teachers and students of the school.
Dat's victory in the weekly contest "Road to Olympia" is not only a joy for himself and his family, but also a pride for Thanh Chuong 3 High School. Once again, the name of the school where Dat is studying resounded at the studio of Vietnam Television. This is the third time Thanh Chuong 3 High School has had a contestant participate in this program and the second time a student has brought the laurel wreath to the school.
Teacher Le Van Quyen - Principal of Thanh Chuong 3 High School shared: Dat is a good student in all subjects. He loves to explore, especially in the field of information technology. Currently, Dat is a member of the school's provincial team to train excellent students in Information Technology.

When Dat participated in the program “Road to Olympia”, the school, the school’s alumni association… paid special attention. The school arranged and assigned tasks to teachers in the Board of Directors, homeroom teachers, and the advisory team to go to Hanoi to accompany him.

Two brothers won the laurel wreath together
Phan Thanh Dat is the second child in a family of two brothers. His mother is a Chemistry teacher at Phong Thinh Secondary School (Thanh Chuong). Both brothers are good-natured, good at studying and both won the laurel wreath in the program "Road to Olympia" of Vietnam Television.
Four years ago, Dat's older brother Phan Ba Gia Bao, then in 11th grade at Thanh Chuong 3 High School, also won the 18th annual weekly competition with 265 points, bringing the school its first laurel wreath. Currently, Phan Ba Gia Bao is studying abroad in the French Republic.

From France, Dat's older brother always cared, followed and advised him during his participation in the program "Road to Olympia". Gia Bao was also excited when his family was present at the studio of Vietnam Television for the second time and more specially, his younger brother won again, continuing to bring the second laurel wreath to the school.

It is known that Dat studied all subjects equally. From grade 1 to grade 11, he was an excellent student. In grades 6, 8, and 9, he was awarded the title of excellent student of the district in Math, Physics, and English. In grades 7 and 11, he won the Encouragement Prize in the provincial Science and Technology Innovation Competition.
Dat confided: "I like information technology. In the future, I want to become an information technology engineer or a computer programmer to contribute to this field."

The joy of a family with two excellent children, both winning laurel wreaths in the program "Road to Olympia" is spreading throughout the cozy house, filled with laughter.
Teacher Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Dat's mother, excitedly shared: When writing the application to join the program, both Dat and Dat had previously hidden it from their parents, and only "revealed" it after receiving the invitation from the TV station, because they were afraid their parents would not support them. Hopefully this will be a great source of spiritual encouragement for him to try harder and make more efforts on the upcoming journey./.
