After King Le Thanh Tong passed away, Minh Phi Nguyen Thi Ha had no children so she asked the court to let her return home. During her years living in her hometown, she did many meritorious deeds, spent much of her accumulated wealth and salary on charity such as helping the poor and building pagodas, etc. She died on the 18th day of the 12th lunar month (year unknown), and was buried in Nay field. According to her wishes, after her death, her land and personal property were divided in half, one part for the Nguyen family to use as incense, the rest was donated to the pagoda so that the villagers could take turns plowing.
