Muong Long is a special highland commune of Ky Son district, known as the Sapa of Nghe An. At an altitude of over 1,500m with foggy weather all year round, this is also home to the Mong ethnic group, and is also the core cultural area of the Mong people in Nghe An.
Previously, Muong Long was known as the drug capital. In recent years, opium has been eradicated, people have planted many types of fruit trees, developed livestock, and their lives have improved, but there are still many difficult and arduous situations that need more help from the community.
