After graduating from two universities with honors, Luong Thi Tam stayed in the capital to pursue a career in education. After many years of teaching as an English teacher, Tam understood the need for foreign languages in today's life, and from there, she became more concerned about the deprivation and disadvantages of children in ethnic minority areas in her hometown.
Returning home during the summer vacation, Tam decided to express his wish to open a free English class for children and received support and facilitation from the local government and parents.

Currently, every Friday afternoon, the young teacher takes a bus from Hanoi to her hometown to be able to teach classes on Saturday and Sunday. Tam's class is held at the Cang Village Cultural House, with 80 students aged 5-10 years old and is divided into two sessions, morning and afternoon, to ensure the quality of learning.
The class is expected to last for 1 month.
It is known that in addition to providing teaching aids, Tam also photocopied writing and reading exercises for the students. This young teacher also called on friends to donate more than 20 million VND, invested in buying bookshelves, gave each student a set of school supplies and at the end of the class, the students also got to drink milk.

Being present in this special class, it is easy to feel the cheerful and friendly atmosphere with English greetings between teacher Tam and the students. During the lessons, the teacher and students also communicate entirely in English, starting with short, easy-to-listen sentences, then moving on to longer sentences with more difficult vocabulary or fun English songs and games...
Luong Thi Tam shared: “While people choose far away places to volunteer, I always think of returning to my hometown to contribute. My hometown still has many difficulties, I hope that more and more people will spend time and effort to contribute to the development of my hometown.”
