Vladimir Putin's former teacher, who died in Israel late last year, willed her apartment in Tel Aviv to Russia, a representative of the Russian Embassy told Sputnik.

Mina Juditskaya taught German at the Leningrad school where Mr Putin studied in the 1960s.
"This apartment was bequeathed to the Russian Federation. Currently, the process of finding Mina Juditskaya's heirs on the Israeli side is underway. Once the heirs are identified, a decision will be made about the apartment," the source said.
Juditskaya emigrated to Israel in 1973. She met her former student in 2005, when the Russian leader visited Israel. The Israeli press wrote that at Putin's request, she was helped to buy a small apartment in Tel Aviv - apparently the one mentioned in the will.
Juditskaya died last December at the age of 96.
