Previously, at 6:00 a.m. on August 24, Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital received patient Xong Ba Cu, born in 2003, a 7th grade student at Na Ngoi Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, who was transferred in critical condition.
The patient's condition upon admission was determined to be: Right rib wound penetrating left hypochondrium, ileal perforation, intestinal perforation, severe blood loss; right arm with multiple bruises. The patient was lethargic, with pale skin, pale mucous membranes, and a difficult pulse to detect.

After being admitted to the hospital, the patient underwent emergency surgery. After a 4-hour surgery, at nearly 11am the same day, the patient was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. Doctor CKII Nguyen Thanh Khoi - Head of the Intensive Care Unit of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital said that at present, the patient Xong Ba Cu is temporarily stable, however, doctors and nurses will have to closely monitor his health condition.
Xong Ba Cu is one of three victims of a fight and stabbing between a group of students that took place on the night of August 23 at Na Ngoi Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Ky Son).
Present at Nghe An Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital, Mr. Xong Ba Khu (born in 1989) - Xong Ba Cu's brother said that Ba Cu is the 6th child in a family of 7 siblings. 2 weeks ago, Ba Cu started returning to boarding school after the summer vacation.
"I don't know the details, but according to some of my brother's friends, the cause was that 3 of Ba Cu's group reminded some of their schoolmates about getting a "big brother" haircut, which led to a conflict. At night, the incident happened, all 3 of Ba Cu's group were stabbed and slashed" - Xong Ba Khu said.

After the incident, the family took the victims to the Infirmary of Group 4 (Nghe An Province Military Command) for first aid and then transferred them to Tuong Duong General Hospital for emergency treatment. Because the injuries were so severe, Xong Ba Cu was transferred to the Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital for emergency surgery.
Regarding the incident, the Department of Education and Training of Ky Son district informed that there were 3 victims: Xong Ba Cu, a 7A student (permanent resident of Ban Buoc Mu) was seriously injured in the abdomen (currently being treated at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital); Mua Ba Chai, a 9B student (permanent resident of Ban Phu Quac 2) was slashed behind the neck, currently being treated at Tuong Duong District General Hospital; Xong Ba Tong, a 8B student (permanent resident of Ban Buoc Mu) was slightly injured.
After the incident, the school reported the incident to the Commune Police, the local government and the Ky Son District Police to investigate the cause. In the immediate future, the Department of Education and Training directed the school to focus on treating the injured students and visiting and encouraging their families, stabilizing their psychology so that the students can study with peace of mind. At the same time, coordinate with agencies and departments to clarify the incident.
