There are 50 cases still being treated for Covid-19

The 6:00 a.m. news on May 5 of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that no new cases of Covid-19 were recorded, with only 50 cases currently being treated.

Number of cases

- From 6:00 a.m. April 16 to 6:00 a.m. May 5: 19 days Vietnam has had no new cases of community transmission.

- As of 6:00 a.m. on May 5: Vietnam has a total of 131 cases that were quarantined immediately after entering the country.

- From 6:00 p.m. on May 4 to 6:00 a.m. on May 5: 0 new cases.

Number of people in quarantine:Total number of people in close contact and entering from epidemic areas being monitored for health (quarantined): 25,625, of which:

- Concentrated isolation at hospital: 246

- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 6,165

- Quarantine at home or place of residence: 19,214

Treatment status:According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control: up to now, 221/271 Covid-19 patients have been announced to be cured/discharged from hospital.

The remaining 50 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated and monitored at 6 medical facilities, of which 40 patients are being treated and monitored at the central hospital alone; 10 patients are being treated and monitored in isolation at the provincial hospital. The majority of patients are in stable health.
