Con Cuong: Nearly 500 people received free medical examination and medicine
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 10, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee coordinated with the Youth Union of the Department of Health and a hospital in Vinh City to organize free medical examinations and medicine distribution for people in Luc Da commune, Con Cuong district.

At the program, people received general health check-ups from more than 50 doctors and nurses and were given medicine to treat some common diseases.
At the same time, doctors and nurses also provide advice and guidance on disease prevention. Cases of serious illness are advised and referred to medical facilities for timely treatment.
In just the morning, nearly 500 poor patients and families with meritorious services were examined, prescribed, and given free medicine with a total value of about 50,000,000 VND.

Medical examination at the facility has helped, shared difficulties, reduced part of the annual medical treatment costs for poor households and policy families; improved health, created conditions for the elderly who are poor in remote areas to have timely medical examination, consultation and treatment./.
