(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of Mon Son Party Cell (April 14, 1931 - April 14, 2024) - the first Party cell in the Southwest of Nghe An, on the morning of April 13, leaders of Con Cuong district and many people came to offer incense at the relic of Mr. Vi Van Khang's house in Thai Hoa village, Mon Son commune.
In April 1931, the Mon Son Party Cell was officially established with 5 party members led by comrade Vi Van Khang as Secretary, the first cell in the mountainous region of Nghe Tinh. The birth of the Mon Son Party Cell marked a new development step of the revolutionary movement among ethnic minorities at that time... Despite being brutally suppressed by the French colonialists, the movement continued to develop, the Mon Son Party Cell was the core leader of the people of Western Nghe An to seize power for the people.
Comrade Vi Van Khang's house was the place where the Party cell was established, where meetings were held, leaflets were printed, where Party cadres were nurtured and protected... it is a powerful historical witness of the Party Committee and local people in the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement in 1930-1931.
To date, the Vi Van Khang House Relic is a revolutionary site of great significance to the local people. The annual Party Cell Founding Day has become a traditional cultural festival of the people of Mon Son commune.
Delegates also attended the Mon Son-Luc Da Festival 2024. This year's festival is held for 2 days (April 13-14). In addition to the ceremony, the festival includes activities such as participating in the Muong Qua market; competing in traditional sports, crossbow shooting, stilt-walking, and throwing balls; brocade weaving; volleyball competitions and organizing a traditional fishing festival...
