Con Cuong honors 34 heads of Front work committees

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 22, the Con Cuong District Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting to honor 34 outstanding front work committee leaders in the 2015-2017 period.

Attending the event were representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and heads of the Front's working committees in Con Cuong district.

Over the years, the Con Cuong District Fatherland Front Committee has always fulfilled its functions and tasks well in gathering and uniting people of all walks of life, propagating and mobilizing people to effectively carry out patriotic emulation movements, the campaigns "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

The campaigns have aroused creativity, promoted internal strength, and strengthened solidarity among each family and community. Thereby, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks, ensuring national defense and security in the area.

Contributing to that common success are the efforts of the team of Front work committee leaders. The 34 Front work committee leaders honored at this meeting are exemplary among the 127 Front work committee leaders in villages and hamlets in the district. With prestige, dedication and responsibility, they have strived to complete their tasks well, being the core of solidarity and spreading the spirit of solidarity and mutual support in the community.

At the meeting, the heads of the Front's working committees shared and exchanged experiences on Front work in specific areas. This is also a meaningful activity towards the 87th anniversary of the Vietnam National United Front's tradition day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2017) and the Great National Unity Day in residential areas.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province also commended and awarded 8 prestigious people in Con Cuong district.
