Thugs seriously injured a police lieutenant colonel.

Advised not to beat his wife, Dat did not comply but instead took an axe and suddenly slashed the police lieutenant colonel three times on the head and legs.

On November 9, Quang Yen Town Police (Quang Ninh) handed over Vu Quoc Dat (27 years old) to the Criminal Police Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police to investigate, complete the file, and handle this subject for the act of resisting a person on duty.

Lieutenant Colonel Hung is being treated at Hospital 198 - Ministry of Public Security.

Previously, at around 11am on November 7, after receiving a report from the people that Vu Quoc Dat had beaten his wife, Nguyen Thi Kieu Mi (33 years old) at his home, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thai Hung - Dong Mai Ward Police, along with Mr. Duong Van Long (civilian security guard) and Mr. Nguyen Huu Hong (Chief of Mai Hoa Ward) came to resolve the matter.

Upon arriving at the scene, Lieutenant Colonel Hung asked Dat not to beat his wife and invited him to Dong Mai Ward Police Station to resolve the matter.

However, Dat did not comply but suddenly took an axe and slashed him three times on the head and legs, seriously injuring Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thai Hung.

Seeing that, Mr. Hong and Mr. Long rushed in to stop them but were also slashed by Dat with an axe, injuring both of them.

Faced with the critical situation, despite being seriously injured and bleeding profusely, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thai Hung still tried to join Mr. Long, Mr. Hong and the Quang Yen Town police force that was mobilized to control and arrest Dat, confiscating the axe the suspect used to commit the crime, before being taken by everyone to the Vietnam-Sweden Uong Bi Hospital for emergency treatment.

However, due to serious injuries, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thai Hung was transferred to Hospital 198 - Ministry of Public Security for emergency treatment./.
