Accordingly, on November 25, 2019, two women named Luong Thi Hang and Lu Thi Ha in Que Phong district texted Tien via Zalo software to find work in China.
When Tien informed that if they married a Chinese man, they would each receive 300 million VND, both Hang and Ha agreed. Then, Tien called China to a Chinese man who wanted to marry a Vietnamese woman. Tien introduced Lu Thi Ha to this man and they promised to pay Tien 300 million VND to give to Ha, and Tien was paid 50 million VND.
As for Ms. Luong Thi Hang, Tien introduced her to another Chinese man to marry for a salary of 50 million and Ms. Hang was paid 200 million VND by the Chinese man.
After agreeing, on November 27, 2019, Nguyen Thi Tien told Ha and Hang to take photos of their ID cards so that Tien could take them to get passports and visas to go to China and scheduled for November 28, 2019, Ha and Hang would go to Tien's house in Vinh City to go to China together. After meeting, Ms. M. and Tien were assigned by Quan to Pham Thi Men to take to China through illegal means. Once in China, all three lived at Men's husband's house for about 2 months. Men then called a Chinese man to come to her house to meet Ms. M. and Nguyen Thi Tien to buy them as wives. After agreeing on a price, Pham Thi Men sold Ms. M. to a Chinese man for 65,000 yuan (more than 200 million Vietnamese dong), and Nguyen Thi Tien was sold by Men to another person for 90,000 yuan (nearly 300 million VND).
On July 20, 2018, Ms. M. was rescued by the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police in coordination with the Blue Dragon organization and brought home. Nguyen Thi Tien lives a stable life in China and occasionally returns to Vietnam to find "connections" who want to marry Chinese men. Tien colluded with Pham Thi Men (the person who sold Tien before) to lure and entice people to go to China to be sold as wives.
In July 2015, over the phone, Nguyen Thi Tien invited Hoang Thi Trang and Nguyen Thi Thanh, both residing in Lang Son province, to go to China to work. Because they knew each other while in China, the two women agreed.
On July 15, 2015, Pham Thi Men was assigned by Tien to pick up Trang and Thanh in Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh. From Quang Ninh province, all three crossed the border to China and lived at Pham Thi Men's house in Ha Bac province, China for about a month. After that, for fear of being discovered by the Chinese police, all three moved to Tien's house in China.
After that, Nguyen Thi Tien sold Trang to a Chinese man to marry for 70,000 yuan and sold Thanh to another Chinese man for 60,000 yuan. After the sale, Tien paid Men 20,000 yuan (more than 65 million VND) for the work, and Tien received 50,000 yuan (more than 160 million VND).
After being sold, Trang and Thanh escaped back to Vietnam and were rescued and brought home by the Criminal Police Department in coordination with the Blue Dragon Children's Organization.
An investigator said that during the struggle with Pham Thi Men and Nguyen Thi Tien, they confessed:In the process of introducing and selecting women to sell to China as wives, women with pretty faces and beautiful figures will be paid more money..
