Quynh Luu police seized nearly 7.8 tons of fireworks and explosives.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 15, Lieutenant Colonel Dang Trong Huynh - Deputy Head of Quynh Luu District Police said that the agency had discovered and seized nearly 7.8 tons of firecrackers and explosives.

Since October 2015, the district police force has successfully broken up 3 cases of fighting against criminals transporting, trading, and using firecrackers and explosives. Thereby, 20 cases, 34 subjects were arrested, and more than 500 kg of firecrackers were seized.
In particular, on December 16, 2015, the District Police successfully broke up Project VA126N, arresting two subjects, Hoang Nguyen Tai (born in 1986) and Dau Duc Thanh (born in 1992), both residing in Hamlet 11, Quynh Van Commune (Quynh Luu), who were transporting 36 kg of explosives for sale. Through searching the subjects' homes, the police seized an additional 50 detonators of various types. Project VA126N was commended and rewarded by the Provincial Police.
