Announcement of the Decision to appoint the new Deputy Minister of Education and Training
On the afternoon of September 16, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) held a ceremony to announce Decision No. 1388/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on the assignment and appointment of Comrade Ngo Thi Minh, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of MOET.

Presenting the decision and speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, Minister Phung Xuan Nha respectfully thanked the Central Party Secretariat, the Prime Minister, the Central Party Committees, the National Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children for their attention, support and assistance to the Ministry of Education and Training in the process of perfecting the personnel of the new Deputy Minister.
The Minister said that Comrade Ngo Thi Minh was appointed to the position of Deputy Minister in the context that the entire education sector is continuing to carry out many important tasks to implement Resolution 29-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee; Conclusion 51 of the Secretariat on fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training; Conclusion 49 of the Secretariat on promoting learning and talent, building a learning society; Resolution 88 of the National Assembly on innovation of general education programs and textbooks and other important tasks.
With many years of holding the position of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children, having coordinated with the education sector to carry out many important tasks such as implementing Resolution 88 of the National Assembly on innovation of general education programs and textbooks; developing and submitting to the National Assembly for approval the 2019 Education Law and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education, Minister Phung Xuan Nha believes that the new Deputy Minister Ngo Thi Minh will effectively lead and direct the implementation of assigned tasks, making many important contributions to the cause of fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training in the country.
The Minister also asked the new Deputy Minister Ngo Thi Minh to promote her intelligence, experience and spirit of solidarity, quickly grasp the assigned work, strive together with the Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training to lead and direct the entire sector to effectively implement the assigned tasks.

Sharing the honor and pride of being trusted and assigned a new responsibility by the Party, National Assembly, and Government, new Deputy Minister Ngo Thi Minh affirmed that she will try to overcome all difficulties to successfully complete her tasks.
The new Deputy Minister said that although he has held the position of Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children for many years, in charge of general education, preschool and children's education, and regularly supervising educational activities in localities and ministries, those activities are still the responsibility of the legislative body.
Therefore, when changing the environment to the executive agency, the new Deputy Minister Ngo Thi Minh hopes to receive help, support, facilitation and companionship from the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, comrades and colleagues to be able to successfully complete the assigned tasks; contributing to promoting and developing the country's education career in the spirit of Resolution 29 of the Party on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training./.
