Announcing the Decision of the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation

On December 9, 2020, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee issued Decision No. 71-QD/TU to transfer comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to work at the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation and assume the position of Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation for the 2018-2023 term.

Previously, the Executive Committee of Nghe An Provincial Confederation of Labor held the 9th Conference, term 2018 - 2023, elected comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to be a member of the Provincial Confederation of Labor Executive Committee, elected to be a member of the Standing Committee and elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Confederation of Labor, term 2018 - 2023.

On December 3, 2020, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor issued Decision No. 1658/QD-TLĐ on recognizing the election results of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and the position of Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Confederation of Labor for the 18th term, 2018 - 2023 term for comrade Kha Van Tam.

Presenting the Decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and giving a speech assigning tasks to the new Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong emphasized that this is an honor and a great responsibility.

Therefore, comrade Kha Van Tam and the collective leadership and staff of the provincial Labor Federation and Labor Federations at all levels need to make more efforts to perform well the role of representing and protecting the rights of workers, especially in the current context, where trade union activities have very different points after our country joined many new generation free trade agreements; thereby continuing to affirm the role and position of the Labor Federation.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong assessed that the new Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor has matured and experienced many different leadership levels, and has proven his ability in different positions and environments.

In his new position, comrade Kha Van Tam needs to continue to improve methods, practice and foster leadership skills of the head of the Provincial Federation of Labor; be a center of high convergence with subordinate cadres; and at the same time be a bridge to better implement the relationship between the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, provincial leadership agencies, agencies under the Fatherland Front and unions; thereby helping the Provincial Federation of Labor to excellently complete its tasks in a comprehensive manner.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested the leadership and the Provincial Labor Federation to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, support, sharing and cooperation with comrade Kha Van Tam so that he can complete the assigned tasks. This is also a way to affirm the dedication of the Provincial Labor Federation to the implementation of the province's political tasks, contributing to the excellent completion of the goals and tasks of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

In his speech accepting the assignment, the new Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Kha Van Tam, affirmed that this is an honor but also a great responsibility; in his new position and responsibilities, he will continue to strive, cultivate moral qualities, uphold the sense of responsibility of the leader, together with the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee and the Provincial Federation of Labor, to unite, be united, innovate and be creative to continue to lead and direct the development of the trade union activities of Nghe An province, actively contributing to the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security and building the Party and political system of the province.

Comrade Kha Van Tam was born on August 8, 1972, his hometown is Tam Dinh commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An; his professional qualifications are Master of Law, advanced political theory. He has worked in many units and held key positions in the Provincial Youth Union, Standing Deputy Secretary of Que Phong District Party Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department.
