(Baonghean) - Nghe An Newspaper reporter had a conversation with Mr. Le Van Son - Chairman of the Haivina Kim Lien Factory's Trade Union.

- Recently, Haivina Kim Lien enterprise has been known as a unit with many policies to care for workers' lives. Can you tell us more?

- Our unit has more than 2,000 workers, but during the past time, the company has never paid a day's salary late, because for us, owing workers' salaries is owing trust and confidence of the workers. Besides, to create a connection between the company's Board of Directors and workers, we always create cultural, artistic and sports playgrounds so that they have time to reproduce, stimulating creativity in each person.

In addition, we always have a bonus system for workers who complete their tasks well in the month. Workers with high scores must be those with the best products. The voted workers will have their portraits posted on the bulletin board as encouragement. The excellent worker of the month will be awarded 500,000 VND; if during the year, any worker has his/her portrait posted on the bulletin board the most, he/she will be awarded many valuable items such as motorbikes, televisions, etc. This has created a widespread and exciting emulation movement throughout the company. Most workers, after overtime, have a total income of 4.5 - 5 million VND.

- It is a fact that most workers in foreign companies "complain" that they work too hard but their salaries and bonuses are low, they have a lot of overtime but the benefits they receive are not commensurate with the effort they put in. Therefore, many people, despite their skills, but their houses are far from the company, cannot "stay" because they have to pay extra costs for renting a house. Is that the mindset of a part of the workers in your company?

- Most of the workers today have caught up with the demands of industrial style; they strive to meet the schedule, and some have even excelled in exceeding the set output.

On the other hand, when we care about the workers' lives, those who are in difficult circumstances, the company always takes out benefits to help and support, raising the spirit of mutual love, then the workers have changed and professionalized their attitudes and working style...

- In your opinion, what do skilled workers in our country need to add to change and professionalize their attitude and style?

- Supplement the awareness of punctuality, the attitude of admitting mistakes and the spirit of progress. Even in the product, if there is an error, the worker must propose a penalty and voluntarily comply, only then can the spirit of professional self-awareness be spread.

Or regularly learning to propose innovative experiences or creative works to create excitement in work, at the same time affirming one’s talent and intelligence. This will help Vietnamese workers in general and Nghe An in particular to enhance their labor brand.

- As a member of an organization with the function of demanding legitimate rights for workers. So, in your opinion, what methods should the trade union have to harmonize the interests of workers and the interests of the enterprise?

- Trade unions in enterprises, especially foreign enterprises, need to create favorable working conditions for workers, such as creating conditions for workers to relax after each working hour, creating spiritual playgrounds for workers. In addition, advise workers on the Labor Law so that workers know what level they have received, and whether it is in accordance with the regulations.

And if there is anything unsatisfactory in the policies and regimes, the trade union organization needs to advise them to make a petition. In participating in the construction and implementation of policies and regimes related to workers, the trade union president must fight for workers to enjoy the most optimal benefits according to their level of contribution...
