Galaxy Education and GreenFoods Company donate classrooms and English scholarships worth 1 billion VND

The gifts that Galaxy Education Company and GreenFoods Nghe An presented included: 1 classroom following the modern OMO (Online-Merge-Offline) learning model worth 400 million VND and 40 English scholarships worth 600 million VND for 40 third-grade students of Tan Ky Town Primary School.

The company's gift-giving activities aim to create educational equality between regions, shorten the educational gap between schools in remote areas and urban schools; at the same time, help students improve their English skills to grasp many opportunities for self-development in the future.

The OMO learning model is a hybrid classroom model that combines online and offline learning, allowing learners to attend live classes or participate in virtual classes anywhere at the same time. The OMO learning model has been researched and put into operation by developed countries such as the US, China, Spain, etc. since 2015. However, it was not until early 2020, when the Covid-19 epidemic really broke out, causing schools to close, that the OMO learning model really developed strongly.

The OMO model, pioneered by Galaxy Education in Vietnam, is based on Classin's technology application. When it's time for class, teachers just need to log in to the system to teach anywhere. For learners, there are two options: either go to the OMO classroom, which is fully equipped with projectors, speakers, and computers, then log in to the system to join the class with the teacher, or students can join the class anywhere using just a device such as a computer, tablet, laptop, etc.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Viet Duc - Business Director of Galaxy Education Company shared: “Currently, the educational gap between regions is relatively large. Children in rural areas have little access to modern learning equipment, especially learning English is even more difficult. To learn English well, students need an environment to interact, have standard learning materials and qualified teachers, while areas far from the center will find it difficult to achieve optimal learning conditions.

Therefore, Galaxy Education Company and GreenFoods have decided to cooperate in donating classrooms according to the modern OMO learning model and international standard English scholarships to Tan Ky Town Primary School. Galaxy Education Company and GreenFoods hope that the modern OMO learning model will be further expanded so that more and more students can access and learn English in the best environment conditions"./.
