(Baonghean.vn) - Through following the question and answer session on issues under the management of the electricity sector at the 15th session of the 17th term People's Council of Nghe An province, most of the people's opinions acknowledged the efforts of the electricity sector, and at the same time hoped that the authorities would have many solutions to ensure electricity infrastructure and promptly handle current problems with electricity prices.

During the question and answer session of the Electricity sector, we acknowledged the efforts of the Electricity sector such as in the summer, there were fewer power outages; the power transmission lines have been upgraded with shielded wires... However, we still need recommendations, when cutting off power to fix problems or rotating power outages, it is necessary to notify the people so that they can be proactive in their work. Some villages still have weak electricity, during peak hours running air conditioners, cooking rice... it is very difficult...
Currently, in some localities in Yen Thanh district, the power grid corridor is not safe, and there are cases of people using electric wires tied to bamboo poles and wooden posts to pull them to their households. Some households build houses under the power line corridor, which poses a high risk of safety and needs to be addressed. Although the power grid upgrade projects have been approved by local authorities, some newly built power stations in the district still encroach on traffic corridors, which do not ensure power grid safety.

It is a fact that the power grid infrastructure in many localities has degraded, is unsafe, and has weak electricity, not only affecting people's lives and activities but also potentially posing a risk to life when natural disasters or electrical short circuits occur. In Vinh City, there are still crooked power poles, causing loss of urban aesthetics. In fact, on the power poles, there are not only electric wires but also countless cables of network operators, forming large bundles, making it difficult to repair electricity when problems occur... Therefore, upgrading the power grid infrastructure needs to be carried out regularly and promptly by the authorities so that people can feel secure.
After following the question and answer session this afternoon of the leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade and the Electricity sector, I agree and share the difficulties that the Electricity sector is facing such as the large and long Nghe An area, rugged mountainous terrain, while the annual funding is limited, so upgrading the grid infrastructure is still facing many difficulties. However, I still hope that all levels, departments, sectors and Nghe An Electricity Company will have practical solutions, synchronous coordination to upgrade the safe grid infrastructure in the coming time, in which the most important is to promptly handle the 3,880 km of degraded low-voltage lines as reported in the report presented at the conference.

In Nghe An, there are currently many boarding houses for students and workers to rent. However, in reality, there is still a situation where landlords arbitrarily increase electricity prices compared to the general regulations of the State. This increase in electricity prices will significantly affect the living expenses of students and workers, especially during the hot season, because this is a force that most of them do not have a stable income. It is worth mentioning that most tenants, especially students, do not know and have not carefully studied the retail electricity price list according to the State's regulations, causing a situation where the landlord says how much to pay, without questioning even though they themselves are paying higher electricity prices than the regulations.

Through the questioning session, we acknowledge the efforts of the Electricity sector in recent times and hope that the Department of Industry and Trade, Nghe An Electricity and related units need to coordinate to increase patrols and inspections at rental housing areas in the province, and handle landlords who collect electricity bills against regulations. In addition, the authorities also need to strengthen propaganda and training so that tenants understand the current regulations on electricity trading, thereby having opinions and feedback to ensure their own rights.
