Nam Dan voters request to ensure clean water source for people
(Baonghean.vn) - Reflecting to the National Assembly delegates, voters of Nam Giang commune (Nam Dan) recommended that the authorities take timely measures to ensure a stable source of clean water for local people, especially in the context of prolonged heat.

At the conference, delegate Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation briefly reported the results of the 7th Session of the 14th National Assembly and the activities of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province at this session.
Next, voters of Nam Giang commune had 11 opinions, expressing their thoughts and aspirations to the National Assembly delegates.
Voter Le Van Tien in Hamlet 6 expressed concern over the news that Cau Muou and Cau Bach Water Pumping Stations (belonging to Nghe An Water Supply Company) take water from the polluted Dao River to treat and supply to the people.

Sharing the same opinion, voter Pham Van Hau in Hamlet 1 reported the situation of many livestock farms and 2 factories and enterprises located next to Dao River often discharging waste directly into the river, causing the water source here to be heavily polluted. This is a hot issue, people have reported it many times to the authorities and sectors but it has not been handled.
Voter Hau requested that authorities take timely measures to prevent this situation, and provide official information to avoid causing panic among the people.

Voter Bành Trọng Nhu in Hamlet 8 reflected that the situation of prolonged petitions and complaints still occurs in the hamlet, especially issues related to land disputes and granting of Land Use Rights Certificates. Therefore, he suggested that the commune and district authorities should organize more dialogues and meetings with the people to answer their concerns and aspirations.
In addition, voters of Nam Giang commune also made recommendations on issues related to policies for people with meritorious services; lack of jobs for students after graduating from universities and colleges; corruption in public agencies, etc.
Responding to issues raised by voters, including the information that Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company used polluted Dao River water to produce domestic water, the leader of Nam Dan District People's Committee said that he had coordinated with relevant agencies to inspect and assess. If the water plant shows signs of violating previously signed commitments, the relevant agencies will handle it according to the provisions of law.
Regarding the discharge of waste on Dao River through Nam Giang commune causing water pollution, the District People's Committee will direct units and localities to monitor and find solutions.
Regarding the issue of granting Land Use Right Certificates in the commune, the District People's Committee will direct Nam Giang commune to coordinate with relevant agencies to implement according to regulations.
