Yen Thanh voters: Policies and regulations for people with meritorious service still have many shortcomings.
(Baonghean.vn) -Implementing the voter outreach program following the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly,On the morning of November 29th, the delegation from Nghe An province, led by Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh, held a meeting with voters in Yen Thanh district.
The National Assembly delegates included Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province; and Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4. Also in attendance were representatives from several provincial and district-level departments and agencies in Yen Thanh district.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Sy Hoi, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, reported on the results of the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly before receiving suggestions from voters.
In addition to expressing their trust and expectations regarding the delegation's activities at the recent National Assembly session, voters in Yen Thanh district submitted petitions to the provincial National Assembly delegation, including: policies and benefits for those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution (the issue of fraudulent applications for those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution; delays in resolving benefits and policies for frontline workers, former youth volunteers, and veterans' pensions; housing support for those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution (only 1 out of 129 applications in Phuc Thanh commune has been resolved);...

Voters in Phuc Giang hamlet, Phuc Thanh commune, have raised concerns about inadequate procedures and regulations in medical examinations and treatment under health insurance; employment issues for students; food safety and hygiene; inadequacies in land policies; the increasing scarcity of agricultural land; and cumbersome administrative procedures.

In addition, voters in Yen Thanh also raised the following issues: repairing and upgrading Route 7B; providing treatment support for cancer patients; investing in and caring for the medical staff at the commune and district levels to reduce the need for patients to seek treatment elsewhere; and the limited supply of specialized medicines covered by health insurance, forcing people to buy medicine outside the designated areas.
Strengthen inspection and supervision of environmental protection at factories and companies; invest more in agriculture, farmers, and rural areas; increase allowances for village officials and commune police. Propose transferring the management of the disaster prevention and control fund to cooperatives; provide timely compensation for irrigation fees; promptly implement support policies for cooperatives; avoid raising the retirement age; some criteria for assessing poor households are still unreasonable; lower the age for receiving elderly allowances to 75.

Theft, especially dog theft, needs to be completely eradicated; power lines should be planned to avoid residential areas. The economy should be restructured with the policy of privatizing state-owned enterprises that are still overly involved. The government should not buy bad debts; the government should prioritize environmental protection in attracting and approving investment projects.
Strengthening quality management in fertilizer and pesticide production; supervising the recruitment of officials and civil servants to ensure fairness and transparency. Strengthening anti-corruption efforts…
Regarding the education sector, voters have made recommendations on: lowering the retirement age for teachers; mechanisms for contract teachers; and the lack of attention to school health services, with a need for better compensation for school health staff.

Responding to the opinions and suggestions of voters, Mr. Phan Van Tuyen, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district, explained several issues within the district's jurisdiction.
Regarding voters' recommendations on policies for those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, National Assembly deputies Nguyen Sy Hoi and Nguyen Dac Vinh affirmed that the State is very concerned about this issue and will balance its efforts to resolve it within the next two years; they also directed relevant departments and agencies to immediately receive feedback from voters at the conference for consideration and resolution.
In addition, delegate Nguyen Dac Vinh also provided specific and detailed explanations of the voters' recommendations at the conference, focusing on issues such as: inadequacies in the implementation of health insurance for medical examinations and treatment; and fraudulent acts in receiving benefits for war veterans, urging citizens to increase their efforts in detecting and reporting such cases so that authorities at all levels can take strict action. Regarding recommendations to increase payments and support for policy benefits, the Provincial Party Secretary stated that a roadmap and balanced budgets at all levels and sectors are necessary.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh also addressed several concerns regarding the construction of new rural areas, emphasizing the coordination between the state and the people; and the issue of job opportunities for students after graduation, especially in sectors outside the state sector.
The head of Nghe An province also directed relevant departments and agencies to receive feedback from voters to resolve issues promptly, while also responding to some of the voters' requests within their authority and incorporating other opinions to submit to higher levels for consideration and resolution.
