Nghe An Tax Department is proud of 30 years of construction and development
(Baonghean.vn) - Immediately after the success of the August Revolution in 1945, on September 10, 1945, the Vietnam Tax sector was established and became an important tool of the Party and the State. Along with the development of the Vietnam Tax sector, on August 21, 1990, the Nghe Tinh Tax Department was established, and in 1991, the Nghe An Tax Department was officially established.
Continuously exceed budget revenue estimates
In the conditions of a poor province newly separated from Nghe Tinh province (in 1991), the leadersNghe An Tax Departmenturgently arranged and stabilized the organizational apparatus, built programs, plans, and measures to organize and implement political tasks for each stage and each unit in a scientific and focused manner, while focusing on directing the deployment and good implementation of tax policies in the area.
In 2004, for the first time, the tax revenue in Nghe An province exceeded 1,000 billion VND, meeting nearly 70% of the province's regular expenditure. This achievement made Nghe An Tax Department one of 15 Tax Departments nationwide with a revenue of over 1,000 billion VND and was considered one of the three most prominent economic and political events of Nghe An province in 2004. By 2011, Nghe An Tax Department was one of 13 Tax Departments nationwide with a revenue of over 5,000 billion VND and ranked first in the North Central region.

In 2019, Nghe An Tax Department successfully completed its tasks.budget revenuewith domestic revenue reaching 14,693 billion VND, equal to 135% of the Central budget estimate, 125% of the Provincial People's Council's estimate; an increase of 18% compared to 2018. Playing an important role, together with other units in the financial sector, successfully completing the task of collecting the state budget, bringing the total revenue in the province to over 16,500 billion VND - one of the 10 outstanding events of the province in the year. This is also the 28th consecutive year that Nghe An Tax Department has exceeded the assigned state budget collection target; an average growth rate of 20%.

In tax management, Nghe An Tax Department is a unit with many effective projects and initiatives.good revenue management. Through the implementation of projects, solutions, initiatives, and improvements into practical work, Nghe An Tax Department has successfully organized tax collection management in the most difficult and complicated areas such as: Tax collection management for tutoring and exam preparation activities; Tax collection management for private transportation business; Restaurant and hotel management; Anti-loss of revenue for mineral exploitation and processing activities; Real estate business activities; Petroleum business activities; Motorcycle business activities, etc., which have brought in hundreds of billions of VND in revenue, which have been learned and applied by many units nationwide.

Continuous administrative reform,team training
In order to create favorable conditions for local people and businesses to fulfill their obligations to the State, contribute to improving the business environment, investment environment, and enhancing the provincial competitiveness index, many models and initiatives in administrative reform have been implemented; from 2005 to present, Nghe An Tax Department has had many initiatives, including nearly 50 initiatives focusing on administrative reform of the industry, which have been assessed by the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation and the Provincial People's Committee as a pioneer in administrative reform. Notably:
In 2005, the regulations were developed and issued to regulate the order and time for handling administrative procedures under the "One-stop" mechanism - the first unit in the entire tax sector nationwide to handle tax administrative procedures under the "One-stop" mechanism. In 2009, Nghe An Tax Department effectively applied the "ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management System". In 2010, it was the first unit in the tax sector nationwide to implement "online television meetings" between the Tax Department Office and Tax Branches of districts, cities and towns, contributing to reducing time, costs and efforts, improving efficiency in directing and operating tax work.
In 2018, a centralized car registration fee collection point was established at the Vinh City Tax Department and the collection was expanded to all collection points in the province, reducing travel time for vehicle owners. In 2018 and 2019, the Provincial People's Committee ranked it Excellent in administrative reform.

Pursuant to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee stipulating a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system, streamlining and operating effectively, Nghe An Tax Department has deployed the project to establish a regional Tax Branch under its management and has been approved by the Minister of Finance.Consolidation of 20 Tax Departmentsdistricts and towns into 9 regional tax branches from September 5, 2019. Accordingly, after implementationConsolidation of Tax BranchesIn Nghe An province, 11 branches were reduced (from 21 to 10 branches) and 39 tax teams (from 97 teams to 58 teams).

Nghe An Tax Department always attaches importance to and pays attention to training and fostering to improve all aspects of the qualifications of cadres and civil servants, especially professional qualifications. This is one of the key tasks that the industry regularly pays attention to and directs.
In addition to sending for training, the Tax Department also focuses on self-training of units; encourages, motivates and creates conditions for cadres and civil servants to study at postgraduate level, self-study to improve their qualifications in Foreign Languages and Information Technology. Looking back on 30 years of construction and development, Nghe An Tax Department has continuously grown and matured, gradually innovating towards professionalism and modernization.
In recognition of the positive contributions of the staff and civil servants of the Tax sector and their outstanding achievements from 1991 to present, units, collectives and individuals in the entire sector have been awarded many noble titles and forms of commendation by the State, the Ministry of Finance, the Provincial People's Committee and the General Department of Taxation, such as: First-class Labor Medal for the Nghe An Tax Department; 12 Second-class Labor Medals, 39 Third-class Labor Medals; 69 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, 502 Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Finance, 515 Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee; many Excellent Emulation Flags from the Government, Ministries, Provincial People's Committee and hundreds of Certificates of Merit from the General Department of Taxation. In addition, 6,322 individuals have achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at all levels, including: 7 comrades achieved the title of National Emulation Fighter, 192 comrades achieved the title of Emulation Fighter in the Finance sector and many individuals achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at the provincial level.
